On Saturday, May 10, 2025, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands visited Windmill De Onderneming in Witmarsum to celebrate National Mill Day. The visit marked the 50th anniversary of the Gild Fryske Mounders (Frisian Guild of Millers). Princess Beatrix serves as the patron of the Dutch Windmill Association (Vereniging De Hollandsche Molen).
The millers of the Gild Fryske Mounders regularly operate around 150 windmills in Friesland and train aspiring Frisian millers. De Onderneming is one of the guild’s training mills and also houses a traditional bakery specializing in bread and pastries. The guild currently has approximately 275 members.
Elégante veste à très petits motifs fleuris mais à mon humble avis, je n'aurais pas gardé les noeuds !
ReplyDeleteShe is in excellent form, beautifully groomed and made up, hairstyle a bit more flowing than in earlier times, and I like the top in her trademark style. The bows? Are bows really the privilege of small girls? Then let's stop the privilege and if this lovely lady likes those bows, I don't know any serious reason why she shouldn't wear them.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see her again!
ReplyDeleteThe ex queen has her own, very special style, but she always looks good. For those women who think that wrinkle-free faces make one appear younger, look again, facial expressions actually give away our age. Beatrix looks very attractive: perfect hair, clever makeup, even youngish.

Agree!
DeleteI think this queen looks great, love the natural look. I like the print of this fabric, very pretty, though I am not a fan of bows for myself, it makes this outfit feminine
ReplyDeleteMaybe she is wearing bows as a nod to her son Frisco, whose bride P. Mabel wore a wedding gown full of bows.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same reason for the bow !!
DeleteStill looking very good !
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see her. She looks great.
