President Halla Tómasdóttir of Iceland is undertaking a three-day State Visit to Sweden at the invitation of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf. She is accompanied by her spouse, Björn Skúlason. On the evening of the second day of the visit, President Tómasdóttir hosted a reception in honor of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl Philip were also in attendance.

CP Victoria est féminine dans cette robe qui lui sied. Je n’ai pas une grande affection pour son bracelet. Par contre, ses boucles s’harmonisent bien avec sa tenue.
ReplyDelete-Astrid.
Looks like a very happy group. I very much like Halla and Björk; seem to be leading with kindness and humanity. Looks like quite a casual relaxed location and occasion. Love Hanks’s dress and shoes - quite special and suit her very well.
ReplyDelete** typo due to autocorrect! Björn not Björk
DeleteMrs. Iceland seems never to disappoint, she looks lovely and makes very good choices, evidently knowing very well what fits her best. Shoes and neckline glitter are in excellent harmony. I like her short and versatile hairstyle and her smile appears to be really authentic.
ReplyDeleteThey look so animated in each other’s company.
ReplyDeleteThe president wears a very good dress and Victoria looks really lovely and feminine.
Ms. Tómasdóttir looks great. So relaxed and friendly, genuine friendliness. The people in Iceland have evidently chosen a good, sympathetic and capable president.
ReplyDeleteCP Victoria's dress is too long, what a pity, otherwise an outfit that fits her beautyfully. Mrs Halla Tomasdottir's dress has too thick shoulderpads which are making her broader than she is. I thought it was only Q. Camilla who wears this kind of shoulderpads. But I like her dress with the beautiful neckline and her shoes have a nice shape. During this state visit Mrs Tomasdottir has made King Carl Gustave smiling on several occasions. She deserve a reward or something. Not very easy to make him smiling.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the shoulderpads, which I rarely think are necessary. Pres Tomasdottir's dress is otherwise quite elegant and the shoes are fun. Is it okay to say that her husband Bjorn is quite good looking?

ReplyDeleteAll very well dressed for the occasion. This just me, I am not a fan of shoes with straps, especially when it is not on an ultra thin leg. These shoes are pretty I just wish the strap was very thin, they actually look better from the side.
ReplyDeleteThe President looks exceptionally lovely, this dress is gorgeous. She has wonderful dress sense and knows what suits her. Her shoes, I love! Victoria looks lovely. Not a fan of the bracelet, too chunky for me, cannot get a good view of the earrings.
ReplyDeleteNice look for everyone.

I would like to see Queen Silvia up her fashion game just a bit. Maybe wear more fitted clothes without so much bulk. Her was an opportunity to wear a lovely jump suit with wide legs taking into consideration she is still wearing comfortable flat shoes following surgery. She needs a few more new and updated styles for the lovely Queen that she is.
ReplyDeleteNo Virginia, we will not recommend an aged 81 year old person to “up their fashion game”! Firstly the language is entirely too modern (joke, but also true) and secondly, we will just reward them with compliments and kindness, and be incredibly impressed by the energy they show to still be working at this age! She is consistently elegant, and superbly groomed - let’s not ask more ! - Mary
