On the third day of their state visit to Kenya, Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited the Supreme Court in Nairobi. The visit focused on the importance of an independent judiciary in ensuring inclusive access to justice, as well as Dutch-Kenyan initiatives to that end. They also visited the Judiciary Museum, which showcases the history and development of Kenya’s judicial system.
Afterwards, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) in Nairobi. The internationally renowned IPSTC trains military personnel from several African countries to support various UN and African Union missions across the continent. The Netherlands supports the centre by providing training on intelligence in the context of UN peace operations.

ردحذفOh, my goodness! Maxima looks so much better and younger with less makeup! I almost didn’t recognize her. The soft blue color is flattering. I like the light, gentle flowing fabric. I hope she follows this less-is-more makeup routine more often.
ردحذفI like everything about the dress except the longer overlay at the hem. Lovely colour on her. I wish they would stop taking photos of her backside going up stairs. A bit disrespectful in my opinion
ردحذفPhotographers take as many photos as they can get in the very short moment accorded them to take photos. It’s the choice of Helen to publish that one here! That said, I don’t find it disrespectful at all and I’m happy to see the back of a beautiful dress and see how it’s finished.
حذفI agree with Anon 17:39. I see no disrespect and we get to see all aspects of the dress. There are many times we don't get a full view and wish we had one.
حذفThis is another re-wear I believe (I seem to recall the two lengths of the dress and the overlay) and it is perfect for the Kenyan climate at this time of the year. It is also appropriate for their two engagements today (not too formal, more relaxed and still business smart) and Maxima looks fine in it. The lightness and flow of the dress is cooling as the hot dry season draws to an end there.

ردحذفThere is a bit of green in the pattern of the dress, but not enough to make it look coordinated with the green hat. Blue accessories would be nicer imo.

حذفThere were questions about her green accessories the last time she wore this dress. There is green in the print. It is probably more noticeable in person. I like that she is pulling out a color from the print instead of staying with blue.

حذفI like this dress. The color is good and flatters her. I am not so sure about the headband, but it does not ruin the outfit. Surprisingly, because it is Máxima, I think more jewelry is missing. I miss a necklace, a brooch or a belt.

ردحذفWithout that awful sheer overlay hanging down beyond the dress’s hem (I had hoped that ghastly fashion trend was over with), this soft blue creation would be a beautiful garment. The elegant hat, clutch and shoes are superb, but they belong with a dress or suit in a color that coordinates with them.
ردحذفAwful and ghastly eh?! Not the dress for you! For me, I like the sheer overlay which for me is the making of this design. I don’t like it on all garments but think it works superbly here. As per the previous wears of this dress, the hat/shoes coordinate perfectly with the green in the pattern. I would love to wear this outfit.

This dress is pretty, but I prefer the underskirt, to be the same length as the hemline. Love the color of her shoes.

There is too much going on with this dress: the overlay and the length of it, the type of sleeves, the grandma print… Too me it’s not cohesive, elegant or up to date. But I don’t mind the green accessories, although the shoes don’t match somehow. So an overall no to this outfit. It could be a challenge to alter is and make it work.

حذفThe soft blue outfit is elegant and feminine it suits the occasion. Its not overly formal and the overlay at the hem makes the outfit. Not surely about the green accessories but we need a change from the usual. Dark navy blue would have set it off very well too. Compliments for her hair it looks tidy and fresh ! Overall a big yes.
ردحذفTo me it refers to the type of dresses my grandmother was young and these type of dresses were in vogue. So no criticism on grandmothers ! Maybe the best role in the world ( wouldn’t want to hurt other groups like uncles and aunts….).
