Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the 2025 Invictus Games, a multisport event held in Vancouver, Canada, on February 14 and 15, to support the Danish participants. On the second day of the Invictus Games, the Prince and Princess watched two volleyball matches in which Denmark was represented by 11 players. Following the matches, they attended a reception for the Danish participants, their relatives, and officials.

Denmark has been represented at every edition of the Invictus Games since the event was first held in 2014. The Danish athletes primarily consist of former deployed soldiers who have sustained physical or psychological injuries in service. Over the years, the Danish teams have served as ambassadors for the rehabilitative effects of sports.

    So lovely seeing them out and about. For all that they do to support Denmark and Danish events everywhere, as well as their own patronages, and all while living in Washington, they are almost unofficial ambassadors for Denmark. I think that's a very valuable situation to be in.
    Can't see a full head-to-toe look of the suit on P.Marie, but if the model image is anything to go by, it is the perfect outfit for Marie. The jacket looks lovely on her.

    P Joachim and P Marie are like the Edward and Sophie D&DOE of the Danish RF. So much of their work is carried out without fanfare and front page headlines. They go about their business with a quiet dignity and charm.
