On January 30, 2025, the Princess of Wales visited Tŷ Hafan, a children's hospice based in Sully, near Cardiff, Wales. The Princess of Wales was announced as Patron of Tŷ Hafan this morning. Since opening in 1999, Tŷ Hafan — which means 'Haven House' in Welsh — has helps children with life-shortening conditions and their families lead fulfilling lives, while also supports bereaved families beyond their children's passing.

Afterwards, the Princess of Wales visited Corgi Hosiery in Ammanford, a family-run textiles manufacturer focused on the production of socks and knitwear. Corgi holds the Royal Warrant and produces a wide range of products for the Royal Family, including the King. Upon her arrival, the Princess was greeted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed, Sara Edwards.

  1. She looks fine as always, but I am not sure about the colour of the coat. The contrast with the dress is a bit weird.

I think it depends on the light, outside in natural light it seems to be something like a winter white, not yellowish.

She looks so joyful with the kids, but I guess her heart breaks for them as she is driven away. Hard not to be touched by the sadness of that institution.

Ein sehr "erwachsener"Look, gefällt mir gut. Und - mal wieder - sieht das Kleid an der Prinzessin noch besser aus als das Model.

A lovely dress and the coat just sits the outfit off. It’s a winner for me.

  5. Elégante robe imprimée mais à mon humble avis, la couleur rouge aurait mieux convenu !

The dress is great, the combination with the wool- white coat not so great: a bit of colour would be better, but nevertheless: great visit!!

You know, I've noticed this a couple/few times with her; you would think when you're going to see kids one would wear bright happy colors - or at least something bright. But she tends to do the opposite. Maybe she doesn't want to cause sensory overload for the kids - especially if they are special needs, etc.? I don't know. But this dress is actually a favorite of mine on it's own. I've got a thing for black and white / grey houndstooth print. I think she should have paired it with one of her bright red coats. That would have been fab and just right pop of color.

Anon 20:48, the princess went to a knitwear factory the same day, in this outfit. This could be why she did not wear a brighter colour, and who knows what other engagements she had, so perhaps this was a neutral choice.

Princess Catherine should think more about the children in Gaza, and try to help them!

One doesn’t exclude the other. These children have life-shortening condition. They all deserve all our compassion.

There’s so much need in own country and that is her focus. If she starts to look after all the kids that need help, surely the kids at home miss out. When the problems are enormous, let’s begin in our own backyard.

Anon 20:26 I was reading the bio of Rania on Wikipedia. She herself was a Palestine refugee to Jordan. Perhaps she is already working on something. This is a fashion blog. Chris L

Anon 20.26 Perhaps you could consider other Arabic countries. They offer a rich cultural experience, abundant opportunities, and significant financial potential. 👍🏻

This is the style dress I like to see her wear. The skirt has a looser fit so her thinness is not exaggerated. Not fussy on the bow neckline, but over all a nice silhouette.

So got to see her out and about. She seems to have some of her mojo back, though you can still see the tiredness in her face.Let’s hope she doesn’t rush back into it.
I like the dress, the coat sits just at the right length. I just add, maybe if she’s keeping her crown and glorious hair that long, maybe wear it up in a tidy ponytail or bun, when she attends events ,it just gives the over all look a little finesse.

What a wonderful visit from Catherine to see these children and their families--I know all were thrilled to have her and she must have been so happy to bring them joy and excitement. She looks fabulous! I love this Zara dress--I just checked and learned she's had it since 2020. It looks marvelous on her and I love the glen plaid. It's also wonderful to see her supporting Welsh industry at the hosiery factory.

Oh dear Anon 08:24, why don't you just try Arabic countries. So many brothers and sisters, lots of place and lots of lots of money. So do it where it is appropriate and also don't forget: fight against taking hostages, rape and kill them. Bye, farewell!

Princess Catherine looks good in that winterwhite coat. I loved the dress the 1st time I saw it. Lovely combination.
What I like especially on the white coat is that it has a lining. It fits beautifully. The majority of these woolen coats the royal ladies seem to favourite have no lining. A coat with a lining is always falling better.

Funny how she chose a Zara dress (known for the mistreatment of their workers in remote manufacturing facilities) to visit a British textile factory. Sure, it’s a re-wear, but that’s minor in relative terms.
