On Wednesday afternoon, May 15, Dutch Queen Maxima attended the IDAHOT+ Forum at the Pulchri Studio in The Hague. This year, the Netherlands, in collaboration with the Council of Europe, is the host country of the IDAHOT+ Forum. Queen Maxima attended part of the plenary program and gave a short speech. Ministers, policymakers, experts, activists and NGOs from all over Europe are meeting in The Hague from May 14 to May 16, and discussing improving the position and rights of LGBTQ+ people.
DeleteNot a fan, I think designers are suffering from a lack of good design. I like only the top.
ReplyDeleteNice outfit an colour for spring, but too dark eye make-up for daytime !!
ReplyDeleteA lace dress, high heels, fussy hat, and lovely hair to pet cows in their barn the other day. Today, she arrives with the total mess of hair on her head and a frumpy outfit. Lily
ReplyDeleteI offer Maxime some advice: cut your hair shorter into a so-called pageboy hairstyle, beceause this ruined badly bleached hair will bury any attempt at elegance.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of this jumpsuit.
Aren't those bracelets too many? It looks like police handcuffs (photo 2 - at the lectern). Coco Chanel once said: "Less is more" and "Every time you leave the house, leave one piece of jewelry or costume jewelry by the door." Coco was a smart woman.

DeleteThese are Queen Maxima's bracelets which she wears all the time. Some of them are plenty of symbolism i.e.
1) the names of her daughters (3 A's),
2) different gems, each with their own color attached to one another with a golden chain, etc.... They say that every precious stone has the power to cure some diseases.
3) etc...(I don't know the meaning of the other bracelets)
What a mess.
ReplyDeleteNot a outfit that appeals to me but regardless the Queen looks quite nice, the color is gorgeous and suits her well.
ReplyDeleteNot the greatest style, but well. css
