  1. Ensemble élégant mais pas trop fan de cette couleur noire ; il me semble qu'un blazer de couleur aurait mieux convenu pour équilibrer son look !

    2. PLEASE, Queen Maxima is visiting a country which has a tropical, wet and dry climate. The daytime temperatures at the moment are in the mid 30’s Celsius (95° fahrenheit)
And a humidity level of around 70°celsius (160 fahrenheit).
Humidity and hair are not good friends in this climate and perspiration stains become a challenge.
But Queen Max is there to work and I’m sure there’ll be good air-conditioning around to help her concentrate on the job.
Photo N°2 looks like she is just leaving the plane which would have been around a 14 hour flight from Europe.

@Hair Police With a name like "Hair Police", it is pretty clear you intend to find fault with Maxima's appearance. If you had the knowledge to live up to your name, you wouldn't have said anything after such a long flight to such a humid climate. Maybe you should rename yourself something more fitting that has to with the snark you are most likely going to dole out. I am astounded by how many perfectly coiffed people there appear to be on this blog that feel that they can be so brutally rude about Maxima's hair.

This just proves yet again that you never ventured to get out of your own narrow boundaries otherwise you would be aware of climates and weather conditions around the world.
You prove that you never ever travelled long distances from your lonely home.
This proves you never studied anything even close to basic geography notions at school.
You seem to know nothing of how the world outside spins in any respect.
All that would sound like a failure to anyone but you still dare to blame this hard working (unlike you seem to be) lady.
Try to get a valuable sort of life and you'll be more emphatethic to people.

She stepped down from an airplane yesterday, maybe it was late in the evening. Give her the time to dress and do her hair for her 1st visit today.

If others go out of their way to dress up for you, at least put some effort in looking presentable for your country. It look’s as if she just rolls out of bed.

@Anon 12:50 She just rolled off a plane after a 14 hour flight. She is not there on a state visit, with an entourage of dressers and make-up artists on the flight. She is there to work on a private assignment. Makes me wonder what you would look like after a 14 hour flight and entering a hot humid country on a work assignment. Have some perspective (and sense) for goodness sake!

    2. Thanks Anon 9:13
Confirm, she is not there as the Queen of the Netherlands, it's a working visit for the United Nations, UNSGSA.
Plus there is another thing that can hit you in the face after a long, long-haul flight: it's called jet-lag. About a 7 hour time difference between the Netherlands and Manila.
Can take you a couple of days to get your body clock adjusted and you need to slap on a bit more makeup to get rid of that tired look.

She just stepped off an airplane give her a break. At least she lets them photograph her which is very gracious of her. Some royals do not permit such impromptu photos. Her outfit is nice and overall looks great.

Agree Anon 9:13. Context is everything! I do not understand various commenters demands for royals to be perfect… they’re human, have preferences, can be tired, hot, focusing on their work not the camera, etc. They’re interesting precisely because they are human! - Grace

Just out of curiosity , I guess you would look like a total mess and even worse after a long haul flight.
Please, just talk about that restricted amount of things you know, namely bunions, feet, heels and illnesses obsessions,
      ageism and the like.
Please, retain from talking about things you do not have a clue about.
      Thank you.

This all in a private plane.

There are several videos on YT of her exiting from the aircraft doors on arrival in the Phillipines. It does not look like a private plane at all. There are plenty of other passengers exiting the plane with her and all around her.

    2. Off fashion for just a minute, The Netherlands have at the disposal of their royal family and certain top government officials, a Boeing BBJ 737 Business jet. It has a special layout and can carry up to 48 passangers.
Five European royal families have private jets.
The British royal family has an Airbus A330.

The problem is not with the weather or the travel, her hair is a mess most of the time, unless is a gala event.

I have flown many long haul flights over the years and I don't think my hair has ever looked as bad as this.
It doesn't look like she even combed it before disembarking.

Well, good for you! Aren't you special! We all have different hair types that behave differently. It is ignorant to think your specific type of hair and how it behaves on a long flight should apply to all, especially knowing Maxima has so much trouble with her hair. Comments like this are only meant to be cruel.
