On May 20, 2024, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where they toured some of the many gardens and displays on show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. Highlights of this year’s show include the "RHS No Adults Allowed" Garden, designed by children from Sulivan Primary School - the first time a garden designed by children for children has featured.
Regular dress style with lovely blue and green pattern. Entirely appropriate for visiting a garden

ReplyDeleteThe style of Camillas dress is fine ;the colour is boring.She is at a flower show I think you would wear a bright cheery outfit;like Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth would wear.I like the dress the lady in pink and white is wearing. (Tara)

ReplyDeleteInteresting to note that Queen Elizabeth was always a little dressed down for her visits to the flower show.
She never seemed to wear a hat to this event.
But always her handbag and gloves and one or two pieces of jewelry.
Even though she carried a slightly relaxed, off duty look for her visits, she always had a smart and elegant appearance.
Camilla porte t-elle une nouvelle robe dans des motifs bleu et vert ? Il me semble voir qu'elle se ferme par une petite patte à fermeture éclair dans un bleu plus soutenu ; chaussures légèrement compensées afin d'être confortable pour cette visite. Si j'avais dû choisir, j'aurais opté pour la robe imprimée fleurie rose et blanc lumineuse de la dame de la dernière photo !
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Camilla wears darker clothing at times so she does not stand out more than the king would. Queen Elizabeth always wore bright clothing so you could spot her. Just my thoughts.

DeleteBut just a simple, colourful silk scarf and handbag (Anna Cecere Clutch comes to mind) would fit in well with the theme of the visit and leave the spotlight on the King.
Isn't that the same dress she wore 4 days ago in Sussex ?

I see Camilla is back in her uniform. Though not unattractive, I wish she’d try and branch out into something more colorful and stylish. Obviously, she must like this style of dress. Is that because of a perceived figure flaw? I rarely see her in belted get-ups. The blue and green colors go well with the color of her eyes and her complexion.

DeleteRead the introduction under the first picture of this item and you will learn who these children are. But they are not their grandchildren.
A lot of people do not read the introduction or even the title when a new item is added.
Appropriate dress for the occasion. The Queen looks lovely.
