The European Brain Health Summit 2024 focuses on the holistic approach to brain health, addressing the management of neurological disorders, preventive strategies, and public awareness.
The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) is organizing the summit to draw attention to the importance of brain health in medicine as an estimated 3.4 billion people – equivalent to 43.1% of the world's population – suffer from a neurological condition. The European Academy of Neurology aims to emphasize the urgency of more intensive research and preventive health measures, and to raise public awareness through the summit.
Beautiful legs, but it's the (imo) too high up skirt which draws the attention. Although I like 'out of the box' earrings these don't combine well with the pattern of the skirt.
ردحذفI simply do not understand this ensemble. Queen Mathilde has the appearance of a person on stilts, cut in half. The skirt is far too short and makes her look even taller than she is.

ردحذفLook at her old pictures when she was still a princess and just married. She wore skirts and dresses above the knee. It was fashion in those days and this fashion is slowly coming back.

ردحذفThe skirt itself is not too short, nor is she wearing it too high on the waist. The skirt is being worn at Mathilde's actual waist, making it short on her. That is the reason this is not the best choice for her. When she wears two piece outfits, and tucks in the blouse, she emphasizes her high waist and generates these comments. She is all legs and those legs are beautiful. Her best looks, IMO, are dresses that don't emphasize her waist. They make her look long and lean.
ردحذفWell said, she has a different proportion between her upper body (waist and above) vs lower body. This isn’t the best outfit for Mathilde. Dresses (depending upon the cut) typically look better on her.

حذفThe news was in the Belgian press today. First she will doing her exams in May and June at Oxford university (GB). When this is finished she will have a Bachelor in History and Politics. By the end of August she will arrive at Harvard University in Boston and study during 2 years for a master in politics. I wish her lots of luck.

حذفI love the skirt with the simple blouse. My issue is the style of the skirt. Yes, Queen Mathilde has great legs and carry off a shorter skirt. But the problem here is Mathilde is shortwaisted--the skirt is highwaisted so it makes Mathilde's waist disappear. The bell shape of the skirt isn't helping--had the skirt been a true A-line it would have looked better. I really wish this look had worked because the skirt is beautiful. The one real mistake Mathilde made here was her choice of earrings--they just look out of place with an elegant lace overlay skirt.

One of her older outfits (2017). I think she'd best not wear it anymore. This skirt cannot be made longer like she did lately with some of her older dresses and skirts. The top could be worn not tucked in, with another skirt or trousers.
ردحذفCan you tell me is everybody turned 80 in here? When did a knee-length skirt get to short and turn into a mini only for young people? I agree that the waist is to high so a sweater on top of the skirt would have been better, but please even a mature woman can use a knee-length skirt.

حذفLength is fine. Only the proportions are wrong as you say. Personally I do not like lace over nude lining but that is not the main objection. I would like to see a green top as it would help visually
حذفMaybe you didn't noticed, but the length of skirts and dresses has been much longer during the last 3 or 4 years. Today the length of skirts and dresses is shorter again. Anyway, I think the combination of blouse and skirt is not good. Another top could make a big difference, I think.
حذف18:34 for years there had been several length we can use on skirts and dresses. This has not changed for ages. We have mini, knee-length both over, mid knee or under, midi both mid calf and ankle, and maxi.
