On May 15, 2024, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde paid a working visit to the European Commission in Brussels at the invitation of President Ursula von der Leyen. The King and the Queen attended a meeting with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Belgium currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union. It is the 13th time Belgium has held the presidency.

The blue in Queen Mathilde's dress and accessories correspond with the blue of the EU. The shoes are new I think and the heels are lower than usual. Lovely outfit although it is not new.
