King Frederik and Queen Mary are making a two-day state visit to Norway. On the second day of their visit to Norway, King Frederik and Queen Mary, accompanied by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, visited Østmarka Park in Oslo. Then, King Frederik and Queen Mary, together with King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the Government's lunch at Akershus Castle.
In the afternoon, Queen Sonja, King Frederik, Queen Mary, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit took a walk along the harbor promenade in Oslo.

CPMM: Not a flattering dress. The same issue as with the high-waisted trousers: the waistline is just under her chest. There must be better options for a large-chested woman. She is tall and has a beautiful curvy figure.
QS: Is this a repeat? And 30 years old? Is it brocade? Just a question. Rewear is always a good thing. But to me, Sonja is beyond fashion, and that's fine.

Yes Amy, not only is she standing on tiptoe (I think perhaps joking with MM “now I’m the same height as you”) but she appears to have stuffed some flowers in her right trouser pocket! Imagine, these two were just any other girls, possibly catching public transport to work every day, struggling a bit like most of us do to work out which way to go in life after significant losses … and then got lucky and found handsome princes to marry! … and both seem to have truly proved themselves worthy, and are very hard workers. ردحذفI love Mary's light blue skirt and top ensemble. That skirt is beautiful and Mary wears it really well. Her hair and jewellery (especially the hair clip) is perfect.

ردحذفI don't see anything wrong with MM dress. I think they all are perfectly gorgeous. PS didn't see anything wrong with pants either. I think people on this blog should go an have a good look in the mirror , point out all the faults with themselves. Come back and tell us all. None of us is perfect. Sitting at home looking for faults and criticize other people is a sad, sad life. Women are women's worst enemies. What happened to having each other's back? 15 years ish ago we had a Facebook trend where we stopped bad mouthing other, instead we sweet talked and priced people. I think it's time for a comeback.
ردحذفApart from when Meghan appears and people have differing and very strongly held views, I think the comments on this site are polite and considerate. To say that a dress or a hairstyle is not flattering is expressing a view point. That’s why I, personally, enjoy this site as it’s free from the nastiness elsewhere

It’s true Annie, since Meghan came onto the Royal scene, the commenting here has changed and can be not just highly critical of the photo subjects but mean to other commenters. This blog used to be always kind and respectful, understanding each other can hold different opinions, realising the royals can also read here so we don’t want to offend, and people took time to write well thought out comments. But frequently now there are throw-away one liners eg “sorry this is a big no” (hint: they’re not sorry, and they don’t even sign the post let alone consider using a few capital letters or punctuation!); telling other commenters their opinion is wrong (hint: it’s an opinion); and commands to other commenters eg “educate yourself” and “stop your hate. The most tenacious and meanest show up on the Meghan posts and seem to want to convert all negative commenters (which they call “hate”) to totally positive re Meghan fashion, and will respond for days/weeks to ensure they have the last word. My main purpose for reading this blog for so many years has been to relax in a kind space and focus on something pretty inane (Royal fashion!), precisely because it wasn’t mean like social media can be. Alas! - I no longer open Meghan posts and speak up when I see personal attacks. Maybe if we all do that we can discourage the meanness. - Grace

ردحذفDuring their walk in the park in Oslo they all look good in their sport gear. The weather looks nice too. To attend the Government's lunch they changed their outfits into more formal ones.
ردحذفQM : love the blouse but the skirt is made of a fabric that is too stiff. It is also too long.
CPMM : simple navy dress, she looks young in this dress
QS : lovely "deux pièces", a pity one can see it is from a very early period. I like the turquoise blue color.
The royal men are looking good too.
New pictures have been added and Queen Mary looks fabulous. Classy and elegant. Love the cross body bag and hat. Queen Sonja´s outfit looks very good too.

ردحذفThe casual clothes Mary is wearing are appropriate for the occasion and suit her well. The skirt from Wickstead is beautiful and combined with the feminine blouse a stunning outfit.
ردحذفLove Queen Mary’s outfit. Simple, elegant and classy. I also like Queen Sonja’s outfit but it does look dated ( the Princess Royal probably has something similar in her wardrobe 😂). I like the dress worn by CP Mette- Marit but it’s not very flattering, making her look much broader than she is.

ردحذفMM is wearing Oscar de la Renta and QS Rena Lang. Mary is also wearing a Jasper Hovring blouse. City walking MM in Pia Tjelta blouse and Sportmax Gebe trousers, Mary in Oscar de la Renta skirt and Bagutta brooket shirt. QS jacket is from Akris. A lot of reuse. They are smashing.

They are family and close friends, and it shows. Is so sweet hearing Frederik say uncle Harald and aunt Sonja, just as sweet as when Haakon say aunt Daisy to Queen Margrethe. That's why Haakon chose Frederik as his best man when he got married.
