It was a big surprise when Queen Mary arrived in Herning, where she supported the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show, which is one of the most popular equestrian events in Denmark. Princess Benedikte, who is the patron of the Danish Warmblood, arrived just before the Queen, and Princess Benedikte's daughter Nathalie, who was going to participate in a competition.

  3. Her Majesty Queen Mary of Denmark is having a girl’s day out.
Love the glamour of the blazer and blouse, topped off with worn and washed jeans. Now that’s style.
Nice to see her fusing into the Danish Royal Family.

  4. Bella ❤ Mi sembra molto più semplice e vicina rispetto a quando era "solo" principessa ereditaria.

Just wondering if there may be a specific reason for why the new Queen is wearing dark sunglasses inside.

I wear photochromic glasses that darken in the sun but become clear when inside. Looks like she may be wearing those?

Anon 09:28…and you are probably one of those Mary worshippers who think she is all natural and ‘stunning’. Lol!

  10. J'apprécie le rajout de la photo sur laquelle je vois toujours l'élégance de la princesse Benedikte peu importe l'évènement ; bon choix de la couleur bleu pétrole combinée au noir de son ensemble à très petits carreaux !

Don't we all :-) There are so many great jeans to buy, and combined with a nice jacket, shirt, top etc. and beautiful shoes, they give a woman a fresh, smart and youthful look.

PB looks elegant in her trouser suit--love the pop of color from the blue sweater which is a perfect color for her. Queen Mary looks chic and stylish in her casual wear for a fun day out with friends. Love her jacket and it pairs perfectly with her wide leg jeans.

This was Princess Benedikte's event, given that she is the Patron of Warmblood, not Mary's event. She was the guest of honour and arrived first, as she should. It's a bit unusual that Mary was allowed to attend given that she is of higher rank. I believe that her very casual (but still smart) outfit was so that she did not overshadow P. Benedikte's place of honor at this event. Seems to me that Mary was there more as an interested citizen than as the Queen of Denmark, even though she is. I love that this can happen with modern royalty in 2024. In past decades, protocol would not have allowed it and in some royal houses still does not.

I don’t like Queen Mary’s jeans, but like everything else. Princess Benedikte is best dressed in my opinion.
