Queen Mathilde’s outfit is stylish and elegant but I don’t understand what’s going on that white blouse the women next to the Queen is wearing? There is something just hanging on the air? What is it?

      It’s a weird looking (style) blouse…

The woman next to Queen Mathilde is Belgian Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder. Yes the assymetrical white blouse is not to my taste either. Too much fabric on one side of the blouse.

    3. She wears the blouse quite well ; I wouldn't buy it for myself.

Looks like the lady in the white blouse is being attacked by another white blouse!

    5. I agree with you Anon: 1432.
      The white shirt looks odd.
      Not something I would wear.

Queen Mathilde certainly has a collection of capes!
But her high stilettoes on those cobblestones?..ouch!

    1. Kudos to her for the shoes, I'd say. Another classic cape with a nice dress underneath. I'll take the properly designed capes over the loose hanging coat sleeves, favoured by others, any day!

Queen Mathilde looks very elegant on arrival with the cape, greenish dress and some bold gold jewellery. I am not so sure the cut of the top of the dress is the best for her. Too droopy imo.

Stylish, hair well done, earrings a little over the top, however, top marks for the Queen.

  5. Belle allure dans cette robe imprimée ; il me semble que son coiffeur nous montre un rafraîchissement dans sa coiffure ; entre son bracelet et ses boucles d'oreilles, ce sont celles-ci que je préfère !

On other sites one can see a full picture of the dress. It is a simple dress in a very dark green color. Her shoes are dark green too and her clutch is by "Aranaz". I like her jewelry by Christine Bekaert. The earrings are new but the bracelet is in her jewelry box since a long time. @ Anon 9:13 Queen Mathilde is used to walk on cobblestones with stiletto's. In Brussels in the neighborhood of the Royal Palace and in several other streets there are plenty of them.

Another great look for Queen Mathilde, from head to toe perfection. Don't know how she can walk in those heels on those cobblestones. Love the earrings.

  9. This dress looks really very good, the style and fit, splendid! I like the length of this dress, not too long. Her cape looks good and blends in well with the dress. Love her choice of earrings, adding a splash of interest. Her black accessories, perfect choice. The white blouse the lady is wearing, cannot work it out.

The accessories are not black but very dark green too.

  13. I feel this is one of Queen Mathilda’s best looks! Love the cape, love the dress (fabric, cut, pattern, and the emerald/black color combo—or is it charcoal?). The large gold bracelet and earrings add some jazziness to the overall look, which is still elegant and classy. She scored a 10 from me!!
