On February 23, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended the opening day of The British Cycling National Track Championships held at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. This outfit looks so much better than her too long dresses that she often wears.

Exactly what I wanted to say. She has this young looking face and good figure so these modern type of clothing is so much better on her

  4. Don’t know much about the Frame fashion house.
It appears to be a Californian company established just over 20 years ago.
The founders were two Swedish entrepreneurs Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede.
The fashion house does men and women’s fashion and works with American produced denim.
Their Spring 2024 collection can be seen via ……

I think they tie the outfit together beautifully. Relaxed elegant for a cycling event seems right, no? - AnneLise

AnneLise, I made the comment, because I feel the brown boots far from tie the outfit together. Interesting how all of us look at clothing/fashion in a different way

    3. I have the choice of brown boots or black ones. I'd always wear brown boots with navy blue trousers.

  6. I think she looks fantastic. That full length picture of her is lovely. She has a great figure and looks great in casual outfits like this. I admit the brown boots threw me off a bit though.

Sophie’s outfit looks nice, except the brown boots don’t look quite right with it to me, perhaps due to the length of the pants. Flats might have looked better. Nice picture of her and Edward together.

The brown boots make her look shorter than she is. Black boots continue the length of her pants and give an impression of longer legs.
Finally we see Edward too. Now that King Charles cannot work, he could do something to help. Or maybe he does already something behind the scene.

    1. I believe he does a lot but the British media is not interested in him.

    2. If you look at the Court Circular, you get an idea of how hard the Duke of Edinburgh works at his own projects. Last Wednesday, for example, visited King's College Hospital, in the morning, Clapham Omnibus Theatre in the afternoon, followed by another engagement in his role as Patron of London Youth. The Duchess and the Princess Royal don't get a great deal of publicity either. However if the Princess of Wales appears anywhere (and I am a fan of hers) there is totally over the top coverage with a photo in virtually every newspaper,

Apparently the newspapers in the U.K. have more power than the King and/or the Government.

A pity Sophie's hair is not well done lately. On one side of her head it is hanging behind her ear and on the other side it is hanging over her ear. If she doesn't change quickly something, she will soon receive the same bad comments like Crown Princess Victoria.

This seems to be quite strict hair thinking!? Being a bit uneven looks natural and lovely and suits Sophie’s face. - AnneLise

@ Coralie. No, I compare it to the hairstyle of other royal ladies whose hair is not better or worse than Sophie's, but who receive much more critics than she.

Sophie looks wonderful! Love her suit and the sweater top is a great choice--she looks so stylish. I understand why she wore the boots--1) the color ties the outfit together and 2) the Duchess is rather small in stature so I think she was giving herself some added height. I love the 2nd photo of the Edinburghs together--they are a great team!

Take it from someone who was there she looked fantastic , and for the boots she had a matching bag and they picked out the colour in her top .

Wow! Never read a comment from someone who met the Duke and Duchess, Sophie and Ed!

One of my fave royal duos, I get the impression they are both very personable. Also, I think they're shorter in person but photograph taller.

I think Sophie looks fantastic here, as does Ed.

Lovely to see the royal couple together on an engagement. Sophie's outfit is spot on. The light tan/brown stripes of the sweater tie in with the gold buttons and the brown boots. She has a terrific figure. Edward is handsome as always.
