Princess Astrid Mrs Ferner turned 92 today. Princess Astrid was born at Villa Solbakken on 12 February 1932. The Princess is the second child of King Olav V and his wife, Princess Martha. She is the older sister of King Harald V of Norway. Princess Astrid married Johan Martin Ferner (1927-2015) in Asker Church on 12 January 1961. Together, the couple have five children.
Princess Astrid continues to represent The King and the Royal Family, undertaking several official engagements each year. The Princess chairs the board of directors of Crown Princess Märtha’s Memorial Fund. She is also an active patron of a number of organisations. She devotes particular attention to activities relating to children and adolescents with dyslexia, and is regularily in contact with Dissimilis.

ردحذفPrincess Astrid is the daughter of Princess Martha of Sweden the sister of Queen Astrid of Belgium. She is named after her aunt who was the mother of King Beaudoin and King Albert II of Belgium. Princess Astrid and her brother King Harald are cousins of King Albert II.

She has a long list of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
