After the Danish Prime Minister proclaimed King’s accession to the throne two days earlier, King Frederik appeared before his people for the first time at the balcony of Christiansborg Palace. He was then joined by his wife, Queen Mary, and then by their four children, Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
After this, King Frederik and Queen Mary rode in the carriage from Christiansborg Palace to their home at Frederik VIII's Palace. There, the royal family again waved to the people from their balcony. The King and Queen of Denmark released photos taken during these balcony greetings, showing the balconies from inside of the two palaces on their social media accounts.
Queen Mary's outfit was designed by Soeren Le Schmidt and sewn by Birgit Hallstein. Hallstein was also the one who sewed Mary's wedding gown.

Wonderful photos. I love especially the third, where Frederik reaches out for Mary!
ردحذفMy favorite too! What a beautiful couple!
حذفMy favourite is the black and white photo where they are looking at each other. You can also see, in these photos, how beautifully styled Queen Mary's hair is
حذفAgree :-) lovely picture of the couple. Definitely the 3rd picture is the best, then the black & white !

In a video taken we can see a proud prince Joachim smiling from ear to ear and looking at his brother on the balcony with much love. So I guess the media should stop trying to put a wedge between the members of the Danish royal family.
ردحذفJe suis tout à fait d'accord ; il ne suffit pas de donner des avis à tort ou à raison en montrant des photos ou des vidéos à moins d'être très très près
حذفde la famille royale et encore !!
Lovely comment, agree with you.
حذفI agree. By the way, I think being a younger sibling - a "spare" is more comfortable. It's less responsibility and more freedom.
ردحذفS.
I find it interesting that the balcony at Frederik VIII's Palace has some stage platforms installed in order to make them more visible to the crowds below while Christiansborg Palace does not.
ردحذفFashion wise, I really like Mary's dress and it is a perfect example of what I mean when I stay the women of the Japanese royal family could do better - i.e. be conservative but still fashion forward and modern.
And your point about the balcony is.

حذفI don't have a point. It's just an architectural design element I noticed that I have not noticed before (perhaps because we don't usually get to see the "backside" of the balconies, so to speak). I can't comment about the "fashion" of the buildings on this fashion blog? Really? :)
Just lovely pictures!

Fantastic dress the new Q Mary is wearing. Both look great. css
ردحذفWhat fabulous photographs! Thankful the court shared them. My favorite 2: the one showing KFred reaching back to help QMar onto the balcony and the black and white photo of them looking at each other.

Thanks for sharing these great pictures. Never have enough of watching the wonderful Danish monarchy. Lovely family, and what a fairytale for our dreams 🤗

A very nice white dress. Mary has an amazing figure.
ردحذفI've always liked men in uniform, but I'll be honest (let the Danes forgive me), the uniforms worn by the Danish princes, actually now King Frederick, are too over-decorated, over-the-top, all the tassels and gold ornaments, a bit like a theater costume.
