The traditional Christmas photos of the Norwegian royal family showing King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus were released. Crown Princess Mette-Marit could not attend the photo shoot due to having caught Covid infection. This year's Christmas photos were taken at Kongsseteren.

King Harald and Queen Sonja are spending Christmas at the Royal Lodge Kongsseteren in Oslo. The Crown Prince, Crown Princess and their children will celebrate Christmas in Uvdal.

    J'aime beaucoup cette photo mais elle manque quand même de couleurs pour être dans l'esprit de Noël ; le blazer à simple boutonnage d'Ingrid Alexandra est élégant mais dans une couleur rouge foncé, elle aurait été superbe ! Quel solide gaillard que le prince Sverre Magnus qui dépasse son père ; il me fait beaucoup ressembler à son arrière-grand père !

    Good-looking people in a nice setting, but didn´t the photographer see the need to position the people better in order to achieve a more balanced composition?

      I thought the exact opposite, that the open space was a deliberate choice by the photographer since the Crown Princess is missing. I really like the colours with the hint of red, and finally a Royal Christmas photo that actually is Christmassy.

    It is excellent how they show that the family has an empty space with Mette-Marit sick with COVID. She is very much missing for them. - Ellie

    The Queen and her granddaughter are lovely, the outfits are perfect for this occasion/photo. The men are handsome. We understand why MM is not in the photo and miss her. I wish her a swift recovery. Edwina

    This is a lovely photo with warmth from the subjects and beautiful color. The resemblance between Queen Sonja and her granddaughter, Ingrid, is striking. I hope that MM feels better soon. COVID is so unpredictable.
