On December 20, 2023, Princess Elisabeth of Belgium visited The Princess Elisabeth Children's Hospital in Ghent, which she inaugurated in September 2011. The Princess Elisabeth Children's Hospital treats children up to 18 years old in case of a chronic condition, and gives their parents the opportunity to spend the night with them.

In addition to medical care, it also offers facilities and services adapted to younger patients, such as a play area, the hospital school and recreation afternoons. The Princess met patients and nursing staff during the visit.

  1. I do not care for the color of Princess Elisabeth’s pant suit or for the color and sheer appearance of the top underneath it, but she looks lovely, confident, and friendly, as always.

  2. Great looking suit that fits Elisabeth well. Wish her choice of blouse had been a different color--this gray or gray-blue does nothing for the suit. A navy or black top would have been better and added a polished look to the whole outfit. Love her earrings!

  3. Der Hosenanzug (Samt?) steht ihr ausgezeichnet, selbst die heikle Farbe funktioniert hier.

  4. Is she wearing one of her mom’s outfits? It doesn’t flatter her figure at all. She’s a gorgeous girl and deserves to wear something more flattering. Also,
It looks like the fabric wrinkles easily.

    1. I agree. The suit isn´t bad as such (though the colour is difficult), but it doesn´t like right or flattering on her. I don´t think it´s her mother´s, it might just be a poor choice (as in: outfit-to-wearer-match). On top of that, I think it is poorly combined with that top underneath. I would have gone for something black or white, a simple t-shirt neckline or turtleneck.

  5. Great suit, love especially the asymmetrical cut of the jacket.
    Thedarkgreen top is subtle.
I admire her performance in such a visit: composed, committed and relaxed: she has had great teachers!

    1. The jacket wasnˋt ment uneven in my opinion.

    2. I think the jacket was surely meant the way she is wearing it. I like her choice for today, a bit minimalist and the color is ok for her.

  6. Fashionable outfit in a fashionable color. Grey top is good to combine with the Pistachio of the pant suit. Grey is also a color that is often combined with mustard yellow. Princess Elisabeth looks good with these colors. With her blond hair she can almost wear every color. She is wearing her mothers Carolina Herrera earrings again. How nice to visit the Hospital that is named after her. She seems to have this natural capacity to talk to children and make them laughing.

    1. Agree with your fashion comments @Anon 17:54
And agree that with her blond hair she could wear almost any colour.
So nice to see this young 22 year old future queen at ease with the children.
One day she will make history by being Belgium's first female monarch

  7. La nuance de ce vert anis est très flatteuse pour la princessse Elisabeth surtout combinée avec le gris/bleu de son haut ; ses boucles d'oreilles me plaisent beaucoup peut-être prétées par sa mère ?!

  8. What a marvellous visit, I'm sure this visit by the Princess was a real boost to the staff and patients. I love the pantsuit, but the color is a bit jarring. Her earrings are pretty, and effective.

  9. She’s a lovely young woman but the color of her suit does nothing for her.

    1. I agree with this comment. She’s lovely but this isn’t a nice outfit for her. This color doesn’t suit her.

  10. Chartreuse (aka "Pistachio Green") is always a hard color to pull off well on any skin tone. I don't particularly like this suit on the princess. Maybe if she had worn the pieces separately like on the model? Hmm. It's a "no" for me.

  11. Wow, what a fabulous colour statement! CPE is clearly not afraid to stand out. I have some quibbles about the fit, but otherwise this is a super choice for this engagement. (V.M.)

  12. A white blouse or tee shirt would look better with this suit. A festive color for this occasion. Elisabeth has such a warm sympathetic air about her.

I don´t like the colour of this suite. I wonder what material it is made from. It seems a bit stiff and does not drape well in movement.

  16. I do like very much this pant suit. The colour of her blouse looks modern and youngish (she is still young) with the green suit. The photos are a little bit blurred, but in the sixth photo one can clearly see how great and bold the colours are together. And they really suit her. Perhaps also a Dries van Noten blouse?

  17. An odd choice of colour for a suit, but at least she is out there, doing her job, and making the effort. She has time to mature into her own style and hopefully this outfit will find it's way to the dustbin. Edwina
