In a special ceremony at the Prince's Palace in Monaco, the young Austrian scout, Michael Putz handed over the Peace Light of Bethlehem to Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. The ceremony took place in the presence of Upper Austria's Governor Thomas Stelzer and Archbishop of Monaco, Dominique-Marie David.

The Peace Light of Bethlehem is a program inaugurated in Austria in 1986 as part of a charitable relief mission for handicapped children and people in need. For more than 1,000 years, oil lamps have continuously burned at the grotto at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Every December, Scouts in Europe have passed the Peace Light across Europe as a symbol of peace, hope and unity for everyone.

      She is not wearing a wig. When she was in South Africa her hair was not bleached anymore and her natural shade of brown hair came back.
      Once she was recovered and back in Monaco she became platina blond. Very bad for keeping you hair healthy. Now she has normal light blond hair and highlights, her natural color is visible in het neck.
      I hope for her she will stick to this hair treatment and never goes back to the platina blond

    Lovely ceremony. I think Charlene seems to have been leaning more on her faith since she had that period in S. Africa (I remember the picture of her with her Bible study and since then she has talked about being 'deeply Christian' in interviews). I hope it's helped her find some peace.

    As an Austrian I am so proud of our Peace Light tradition. Fashionwise I must say Princesse Charlene really looks wonderful and her hairstyle is so nice. Good to see her smiling and enjoying her engagements. I.P.

    Princess Charlene looks lovely in her ensemble. On the other hand, it is endearing to watch as she has "finally found her footing". Going back to her hair color that helps to compliment her beauty. is nice too!

    I hope Pss Charlene bought the matching Dries skirt. It looks like a very interesting suit and I think it would have looked better than the separates she’s chosen here. Nevertheless she looks happy here, and that’s so nice to see. (V.M.)

    Princess Charlene's outfit is perfectly coordinated and she looks stunning. No one does it quite to the perfection as this Princess. She makes the style look effortless and , as a royal, very approachable, yet still regal.

    I must agree. These te is something in her style recently that is simple, elegant, approachable and yet regal. She is really very beautiful with her hair in this style and color. Hope also that she does not change it. But if she is like my daughter: we’ll they get bored with the same hairstyle :)
