On October 16, 2023, Queen Silvia and Princess Madeleine of Sweden attended a meeting with the UN Special Envoy on Violence Against Children (SRSG VAC) and Childhood USA at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York.

The high-level meeting was hosted by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence against Children, The World Childhood Foundation and the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the United Nations. The event focused on placing child protection at the core of sustainable travel and tourism.

The opening speeches were given by Queen Silvia, Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Dr Najat Maalla M'jid, Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children.

    Queen Silvia in red pantsuit and white blouse looks so good. I like her with the skirts and dresses but this pantsuit was a nice change. Very eyecatching, yet professional.
    I love Princess Madeleine in light beige, interesting style and good shade of beige that won't wash her out. Her hair look so pretty. Pleasure to see her again.

    Magnifique duo qui sait participer à cette réunion de l'ONU. La reine Silvia a beaucoup d'allure dans cet ensemble de couleur corail ; la princesse Madeleine est ravissante dans ce style de robe mais je trouve qu'elle manque un peu de couleur ; j'aurais voulu voir ses chaussures ?!
