Queen Letizia of Spain turned 51 today. Letizia Ortiz was born on September 15, 1972 in Oviedo, Asturias. Felipe and Letizia married on May 22, 2004 with a religious wedding ceremony at the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid. Queen Letizia is the first consort in the history of Spain with no royal or aristocratic heritage. Letizia and Felipe have two daughters: Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.
