On August 14, 2023, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended a charity event at the Lego Foundation (Lego Charity) in Billund, held by cooperation of Lego Group and Mary Foundation, and helped packaging of backpacks. The Mary Foundation has been sending backpacks to children in crisis centres in collaboration with Ole Kirk’s Foundation and LOKK (National Organisation of Crisis Centres for Women) since 2008.
