On June 27, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands, member of the Dutch Entrepreneurship Committee, opened the new head office of Qredits in Almelo. The non-profit organization Qredits provides loans, offers coaching and training to (starting) SME entrepreneurs. The theme for the opening was 'Helping SMEs become more sustainable'.
After the opening of the new building, Queen Máxima attended a meeting with entrepreneurs who shared their experiences relating to sustainability and the SME sustainability loan. Queen Máxima also spoke with administrators from various provinces and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
Not for daytime wear; however, she’s always smiling.

ردحذفI don't understand what the color of her hair has to do with anything. If she was "completely grey", dark roots would not be visible. There is nothing wrong with Maxima or anyone else wearing extensions. I get the feeling that you think that it is wrong if she does. Maxima is hardly the only woman that colors her hair, let alone royal woman, so maybe we can stop targeting her for that. Even when it has been styled, you find something negative. Her hair is an old and boring story. You say she has a " terrible look" but don't mention her clothing once. I would like to hear your thoughts on that instead.

ردحذفThis is an odd combination. Sequins for the daytime? I love the fascinator or hat, whatever we want to call it and it coordinates nicely with the dress, but again, it leaves me wondering the level of formality of the event.

ردحذفI don't mind the top half of her outfit, not so sure of the skirt part. She is full of happiness and energy, love it! She always brings joy wherever she goes. Its splendid. She never appears to just go through the motions on any visit, what you see is genuine, full of interest in everything and everyone around her. She is fabulous!
ردحذفI do like the dress, even if it's more for a cocktail party. But that's Máxima and she wears it well together with the very high heels and beautiful bag. However the hat is in my view a little bit ridiculous.

ردحذفThere is not one thing about her outfit, that in my opinion, is right. Not to mention the hair! I do wonder if she has a stylist/dresser or even looks in the mirror before she leaves her palace. Her smile is her best accessory.

ردحذفOh dear. Did she leave her fashion sense in Belgium? She had such a streak there! This, I'm afraid, is another disaster. First of all, I think the fabric is all wrong for the occasion. Make it a tad longer and this is full-on evening wear, but not a dress to inaugurate an office. The cut is awful. Too baggy in some places, while pulling in others. And then there's this napkin dumped on her head. Firstly, I refuse to call it a hat. Secondly, it is once again placed wrong, just like the pink thing she wore the other day. Too far back and plonked awkwardly on top of a mis-matched hairstyle. If I wanted to say something nice, I guess the colour isn't bad. She's one of the lucky people with a skintone that can successfully contrast these nude shades. I still wish she'd paired it with a pop of colour. Even if it had just been dark red nails or something. Overall, it's a big no.

حذفAs it is always a person who wears the clothes and makes the choices the boundary between fashion statement getting personal is very small.
حذفI.e. Queen Letizia who most times gets big applause here, off course we donot know much about her personalitynbut we do know she has great taste and takes care about what she wears.
That is why I cannot warm to Maxima: she looks great on great occasions and often poor and unkempt on visits in the country. So I think, she has no sense of fashion herself but relies on her advisors.

ردحذفMaxima often wears things to daytime events that most of us wouldn't even consider for a cocktail party. But in all of the years I've followed her this is the first time she's so laughably off the mark that I thought there must have been a mistake. You know, like waking up after a nap at dusk and thinking it's dawn. This is just perfectly absurd. And -- occasion excepted -- I don't like it anyway. The draping is all wrong.

I remember Amalia making a remark about Maxima's fashion sense, saying that she was the best at fashion and thought dear Lord, this poor child thinks her mom is a fashion role model, well surely she was not talking about this outfit.

Can't say I am a fan of any part of this look other than her simple chignon. Even with the sequins this is one blah outfit for Maxima--like to see her in brighter shades.
