On June 1, 2023, Queen Mathilde attended the start of the finals of the 2023 edition of the Queen Elisabeth Voice Competition at the Brussels' Bozar Concert Hall. From Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 June, the twelve finalists of the competition performs at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts with La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alain Altinoglu.
Natan Long Sleeve Printed Gown
Très estivale cette robe de Natan mais à mon avis, les motifs à grosses fleurs seraient plus à l'avantage de Mathilde s'ils étaient moins imposants ; elle est quand même ravissante surtout avec le choix blanc qui part des boucles d'oreilles, pochette et chaussures !
ردحذفLes motifs à petites fleurs ne sont plus à la mode. Ses chaussures sont recouverts de soie et sa pochette est argenté où recouvert de soie également.
حذفJe suis d'accord avec vous mais quand je parle de motifs moins imposants, je ne veux pas dire petites fleurs ; une taille intermédiaire serait parfaite !

حذفI particularly like her in picture 3 & 4. The dress has been worn already on the last evening of the state visit to South Africa. The yellow pant suit she worn to fly back to Brussels was gorgeous too. But these two outfits has not been shown on this blog.

ردحذفI really like the floral pattern on this dress. It drives me batty that a (presumably bespoke) dress has seams that mismatch so badly (specifically in the shoulder area). If it were by one of the fast-fashion brands that are priced for the masses, I wouldn't bat an eye, but we can guess the Queen paid a good chunk of change for this. The Queen, however, always shines because of her wonderful smile and personality.
ردحذفThe dress is quite nice, the Queen wears it well with her height. Though the short sleeves, I feel look good on the model.
ردحذفTry as I might, I just can't love this dress. I have often wondered if Natan gives or loans dresses to Queen Mathilde and Q-Max with the provision that they wear the garment at least once. IMO, this dress, as they say in the US, just doesn't cut the mustard. The gathering of fabric at the neckline creates a billowing effect of the sleeves. I believe Queen Maxima wore a similar dress several weeks ago. In the later pictures, when Queen Mathilde is indoors, the dress looks better but, still the large floral print is overwhelming and, again IMO, would look much better in a smaller print.
