On June 30, 2023, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended the Queen's Clock Parade 2023 at the Royal Life Guard barracks in Gothersgade and presented the "Queen's Clock" to one guard chosen for his exceptional service. This year, the chosen guard became Anton Mondrup Langdahl and he received the clock from Queen Margrethe.
The handing over of "The Queen's Clock" has been a tradition since 1970, when Frederik IX first presented a clock at a farewell parade. "The King's Clock" changed its name as "The Queen's Clock" after the change of throne in 1972, and the Queen has since then continued the tradition. The parade is held to mark the end of the guard team's period of service as well as the establishment of the Royal Life Guard.
HM looks lovely in her coral and navy blue outfit. I like contrasting colors together--and both colors look wonderful on HM.

This outfit looks lovely, I particularly love the Navy jacket, very smart and chic looking. The Queen looks well.
ردحذفI think she looks very healthy and happy here. The dress and jacket fit well but I’m not wild about the colours for Q.M. The faded red (or is it pink?) seems a bit drab with the navy. I’d also like to see her with some new hats, something with a little more drama. She tends to choose very simple designs which look quite ordinary to me. (V.M.)
ردحذفPlease bear in mind that Queen Margrethe is very tall and that makes her choice of clothes difficult. I disagree, her designs are not ordinary, they are classical, practical, never stuffy and always with a good colour scheme. A queen should be above high fashion and I think she has found a good balance between her regal role and her sartorial choices.

ردحذفThe colour of the dress is just 'icky', at least she wore a jacket to cover part of the garment. Makes her look washed out.
