    I donat think I have seen her in western clothes befor. She looks very good and the dress is a very pretty maternity dress. I also like her SiLs dress. The oldest son is so tall already.

    1. i was thinking the same. Especially a brand dress with a V line, thought she would wear one from the market.

      My thoughts too. I was like, "Oh wow! She has on western clothes." She looks very nice and I too think she might be pregnant. If so, I hope it's a girl. Either gender is always welcome and a blessing but, it would be nice to add a girl to the family.

    I've never seen her with non traditional outfits, and she does lovely and appropriate for the outing.
    In Buthan most of the gentleman wear the traditional clothing, contrary to Japan and Nordic countries, where only the ladies do so and the gents go for a Western fashion. I wonder why is that

      Both the Queen and King wore western dress to King Charles' coronation pre-dinner S.M.:

      @Luna
      In Japan the imperial ladies wear Western clothes inspired on the sixtees. Only for very special events they wear their kimono's. The imperial men wear also a sort of costume that is not very up-to-date and a traditional kimono for special ceremonies. Average people wear western clothes. In Sweden only royal ladies wear traditional clothes on special days, not the men. Average people are wearing western clothes. In Norway royal men and women are wearing traditional clothes on special occasions during the year. Average people also wear traditional clothes on special occasions otherwise they wear western clothes. Maybe I forgot some details but this is about what I see on this blog. (The reason why I don't know. If you really want to know it must be possible to find it via Google) Rose.

    Lovely to see all 4 of them in western dress. Such a nice educational trip for the boys as well. Queen Jetsun Pema looks lovely in the purple hues that she is wearing. I have also seen photos of her in Paris several years ago with either Louis Vuitton or Chanel accessories (I forget) - not over-done, just a few choice pieces - and she looked stunning.

    I have visited this site (Al-Maghtas) in Jordan and it is breath taking; a very peaceful and emotional experience. A highlight of the country, to be sure.

      Yes, @Anon 9:13, I remember photos with both of them in Western clothes, simple-understated but well-chosen. This dress is lovely too. Always enjoy seeing this family.

    How lovely the Queen looks in her Western-style dress--I have never seen her in anything but her traditional Bhutanese clothes. The pinks and purples of the dress look wonderful on her and the style looks cool and comfortable. Along with everyone else I am wondering if she is expecting--one photo certainly makes it appear so. How nice she was able to bring her sons with her and take them for a bit sightseeing. Princess Euphelma also looks good in her dress too.

  8. Is she pregnant again? I had not heard she is going to have a third baby, but a couple of those pictures looks to have a baby bump.

  10. I love how interested she seemingly was in visiting a place of great significance to Christianity and also show it to her sons. The flowy dress looks good on her and I always enjoy seeing her being dressed in a western world way as I enjoy seeing her in her traditional Bhutanese styles.
