On June 20, 2023, King Charles and Queen Camilla, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Zara and Mike Tindall attended the first day of Royal Ascot 2023 held at Ascot Racecourse. Royal Ascot is one of the highlights of the royals' summer calendar. The first meeting took place at Ascot in 1768.

I really loves the Queen's outfit. Very nice not to see her in blue! My favourite is Zara. She is beautiful, classy but lots of fun. I love the way she dresses. And her hat is perfect with the dress and for Ascot. Not a big fan of Beatrice's dress and headpiece.
ردحذفCamilla looks lovely in her signature style (hat and suit) and monochromatic cream colour, but the best today are Zara and Birgitte, Duchess of Glouchester. Smart and elegant.

ردحذفA comment about Mike Tindall, I never found him particularly handsome, he has such a calm and kind expression that is a nice have to see, plus he has been very well in his role, always around supporting the family, never seeking attention for himself. Again i wouldn't be surprised if in s few years time they, he and Zara, jump in as a working royals.

حذفThere has been on/off talk about the Tindalls moving permanently to Australia.
I think they have had to put the plan on hold several times due to major events in the royal family e.g. the death of QEII.
They appear to spend a lot of private time in Australia each year.
They first met each other whilst in Sydney.

حذفCalm down. I believe all she or he is saying is that Bea's outfit is not the best. If so, I agree. She has had some really good ones over recent weeks but this one is not good. Bad "hat" *especially* for Ascot, ugly bag, and a dull dress. It's an off day for Bea. She needs help.

حذفI will be the outlier and say that I dislike Zara's dress. The print looks exactly like a bedspread in a mid-level hotel room in 1986. The boater hat is cute, though, and I love her earrings.

ردحذفSome occasions make me more sad than others without the late Queen. Princess Anne and the Duchess of G. look both very much like we expect them to in a good way. Zara: this length and the closed neckline clashes with pastelly flowery designs for me, it gets simply too much. Hat is good. Bea: No. As if she was late and randomly picked dress, hat, shoes.

حذفSo happy to see a good royal turn out for Day 1 of Ascot. Lovely seeing Camilla in her big hat again--I always look forward to seeing her in them. Her cream ensemble is beautiful and I am thrilled to see she is wearing the shell brooch--love seeing all those shiny diamonds. I hope she keeps digging into the vault! Her sister Annabel made me do a doubletake--they look so much alike they could be twins! Annabel looks good and her cream suit is lovely but her hat is too far down on her head making it look a bit too large. Zara is fabulous in her summery dress and boater--love how she and Mike always find a way to pair up with his choice of tie. Princess Anne looks lovely in her blue silk--her hat is terrific. Beatrice--I really want to love her look but think the headband too far forward on her head and think a belt would have improved her dress. She looks good but not as good as we know she can look. The star of the day for me is the Duchess of Gloucester--she looks smashing!!! Again, she has layered jewelry with great taste and style. The blues are beautiful for her and I like the darker blue facinator that is same color as the collar of her coat. She is so elegant. Not to mention her gorgeous white hair looks marvelous with the blue too. Can't wait for more from Day 2!
