Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended a street football match played between Asker and Stabaek at Foyka Stadium in Asker. The two street football teams are both celebrating ten years of togetherness this year. The Crown Prince couple watched the match from the sidelines. The couple met with players and coaches after the match.
The street teams are an offer for people with drug-related problems and provide an arena where the players will have fixed training routines that are meaningful and healthy. Asker established a street team for drug addicts in 2013. Today, there are 30 street teams in Norway that have been organized under the umbrella organization Fotballstiftelen.
