In her capacity as Honorary President of UNICEF Belgium, Queen Mathilde is making a 3-day working visit to Vietnam at the invitation of UNICEF on May 9-11. The mission focuses on UNICEF's work to close educational gaps and improve opportunities for the most vulnerable children and adolescents in the hardest-to-reach rural areas of the world.
On the first day of her visit, the Queen met with the President of Vietnam, Vö Van Thuong and the Minister of Education, Nguyen Kim Son. The Queen will travel to the Lao Cai province located in the north-west of the country where she will attend meetings relating to UNICEF's work in education.

Very pretty dress. I really like the color combo of muted red on beige. (at least on my screen). I am even getting used to the puffed sleeves. I read somewhere Vietnam is having a record high heat wave but the Queen look very cool and fresh. Perhaps it is not so hot up in the north.

DeleteI’m not overly fond of puffed sleeves either, but I think the overall silhouette of the dress is very flattering and her sleek hairstyle compliments the look too. (V.M.)

ReplyDeleteI have travelled a lot in SE Asia over the year and as someone not used to heat it feels very good to put my hair up and wear loose fitting clothes.

Lovely dress with a muted pattern that suits the Queen. With soaring temperatures in that region, I hope she manages to stay cool and comfortable.
