On April 5, Dutch Queen Maxima paid an official working visit to Maan Group in Raalte. Maan Group is a holding company that specializes in engineering, coating equipment, and smart biodegradable products. In 2022, Maan Group won the King Willem I Award in the SME category. Queen Maxima is honorary president of The King Willem I Foundation.
During the visit, the Queen spoke with the director and founders of the company about the ambitions and the future of Maan Group, including the significance of the company for the innovation and entrepreneurial climate in the Salland region.
I normally don't like leather skirts, but the Queen looks great in this burgundy skirt. The blouse, I love the neckline is unusual and the color is gorgeous. Her color accessories work in well. Her hair and makeup look great, particularly her hair up, splendid.

Today, for the first time in like forever, her hair looks good! Not a fan of the leather look skirt, blouse with the odd bit hanging down is also iffy. Guess the hair is the winner of the day.

DeleteI agree. The skirt looks cheap like plastic,and it's not a good look. Also, I find the colour combo less than ideal. The various reds clash more than they complement each other.
DeleteLastly, her hair: it's neat but nothing to write home about. It's the contrast to her usual mess that makes this updo appear nice but it is actually a very simple hairstyle.
The things that stand out to me are the well-chosen jewellery and the pretty blouse with interest, both without being loud or over the top.

ReplyDeleteBecause they are off on their 20-sometingth holiday. In 2022 she and the vacation king (his nickname in NL) were away on holiday for 15 weeks.

It is quite normal that families with children take a short vacation during the school holidays. Common people do that. Why can a king and queen not do that, especially as they have all houses abroad where they can go to relax a bit with their family. In the Benelux the school holidays are about the same : 2 weeks with Christmas, 1 week with carnival, 2 weeks at Easter, 2 months during the summer, Autumn vacation (Halloween, All Saints day, etc...), Boxing days with 1st May, Assomption, Pentecôte and sometimes local holidays. Common people cannot go each time on vacation because they have to work. But most of the parents are trying to take several little vacations during the school holidays.

ReplyDeleteWow, did she get a stylist? Love the top (more fashionable than bow blouse can sometimes look). The color looks fantastic on her. And her hair looks wonderful. The only thing I'm on the fence about is the shiny look of the skirt, I wish it were more matte, soft leather instead of that patent leather look. But that's being picky. Super job!

Ugly outfit as ever; where is the KING?
ReplyDeleteThe king's activities are not shown on this blog. Usually Q. Maxima has her own visits and she is quite capable of achieving this on her own. In the meantime the king (like most of the reigning European kings) are gathering with ministers or ambassadors, visiting factories or government institutions, etc... Besides it is a fashion blog, a man's outfit is OK when he is wearing a good suit that fits and a beautiful tie . There is not much more to tell about.
