The Duchess of Wessex became the Duchess of Edinburgh, and her husband has been given the title of the Duke of Edinburgh

The Duchess of Edinburgh took her late father-in-law, Prince Philip's carriage out in Windsor - as her husband the Duke of Edinburgh joined his brother the Duke of York on horseback. The Duchess took one of his old horse carriages out for a tour around Windsor Castle on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the nearby Home Park, her husband Duke of Edinburgh met with his brother during his weekly horse-riding trip for the first time in a number of years. The Countess of Wessex (as she was known under her previous title) became the Duchess of Edinburgh, and her husband has been given the title of Duke of Edinburgh on 10 March 2023.

    She was the countess of Wessex previously. Now she’s the Duchess of Edinburgh.

  7. I get the impression that Sophie, The Duchess of Edinburgh misses her parents-in-law very, very much. From what I have read here and there she was very close to her Majesty, The Queen and Prince Phillip.
