King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are making a state visit to Slovakia at the invitation of President Zuzana Caputova. On March 7, The King and Queen were welcomed by President Caputova at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. The King and Queen then laid a wreath at the Gate of Freedom in Devin, a memorial to those killed between 1948 and 1989 attempting to cross the Iron Curtain.
A meaningful state visit and tribute to Slovakia.

حذفI have to correct you: Mrs. Zuzana Čaputová is not the first lady, she is the first woman in the position of president in Slovakia. She is a former lawyer with a focus on ecology. She is 49 years old, very popular and very elegant. She has been in office for 4 years and if she runs for a second term, I will vote for her again.

ردحذفWhat a wonderful blue ensemble. So Simple and so regal. The model looks like it came from Dior in the 1950, with slim taille and circle skirt. And this goes for the little hat as well. Máxima looks stunning in it and it has the perfect length as well. More of this QM!

ردحذفI think Quen Maxima has been reading this blog and has finally aquired a good stylist. Hair, hat, coat, earrings look glorious. However I would have left the brooch at home with those big buttons on the dress or better still plain covered buttons with the beautifull brooch plling all the interest.
ردحذفWow! I like every piece of this outfit, the coat is at least 20 years old, and comes to show that good couture is perennial, the dress has a vintage feel and is so feminine, I even like the big buttons, just because the dress color is sober.

To me the best day outfit (formal occasion) of Queen Maxima in a long, a very long time. Also, Mrs. President Caputová looks equally as good (minus the hat, that is).
