  1. Oh good, place for a bit of humor instead of hair styling.

Heavens what terrible wind! The King is such a gentleman, trying to protect his wife from the wind with the umbrella. I imagine it was a struggle to control the umbrella--you can see Philippe is having to use both hands on the stock of the umbrella. As for fashion--I love this look from Mathilde! What a beautiful coat and the navy blue top and trousers show it off to perfection. The choice of red accessories pulls the whole outfit together.

  3. Cette longue tunique imprimée déjà portée est bien agréable sur l'association bleu-marine de son haut/pantalon ; délicates ses boucles d'oreilles sous forme de fleurs !

Nice combination and color. What ghastly wind and rain. Both seem in good spirits, css

The weather turned a trip down the steps into a semi-funny for onlookers, though the King looked to be having a time with the umbrella, and the Queen's hair took a turn for 'wind-swept' look. Nice colors in the outfit she is wearing, though I am not a fan of the pattern, it looks good on her.

This is typical Cape Town weather and if you live here like we do you get used to it. Unfortunately it’s been blowing galeforce winds. Welcome to our beautiful country!

  10. Dear, dear somebody in their reca department should have done their homework properly. They would have found out that the wind there is known as the " Cape doctor." It blows so hard it is credited with blowing the germs away.
They should have been supplied wih a Senz umbrella from their neighbours the Dutch. They are guaranteed to withstand a gale force 9 wind and one just holds them loosely and the turn into the wind, they do not turn iside out and they stay whole and in your hands.

Can you imagine if she has worn the saucer hat today? :)) :)) :))
(Perhaps it would have been the last that we, and she, would ever see of it, lol)

Queen Mathilde's outfit by Esmeralda Amoun is excellent for today's weather. Trousers and top in the same blue and the coat with a red and blue pattern.
Clutch is by Armani and the earring by C. Herera. She wore these clothes for the first time in 2020 when her daughter CP Elisabeth as a student of the Royal Military Academy in Brussels received her Blue beret from her father King Philippe.
