On February 14, 2023, Princess Anne, accompanied by Sir Timothy Laurence, arrived at Wellington International Airport in New Zealand. The couple were received by the Governor-General, Dame Cindy Kiro, and her partner at the Government House in Wellington. Afterwards, they attended a dinner given by the Governor-General of New Zealand and Dr. Richard Davies at the Government House.

On February 15, Princess Anne visited the National Crisis Management Centre at the Beehive. In the afternoon, the Princess Royal attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial, which has reopened after a seismic reassessment. A national emergency has been declared in New Zealand following widespread damage from the cyclone Gabrielle. Tens of thousands of Kiwis were also rocked by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake on Wednesday evening.

  2. Are the European Royals cashing in on a tourist discount to visit countries with warm climates ?
p.s. would love to see what Princess Anne wore to the dinner at Government House. Maybe there'll be more photos later.

      That’s a mean comment!

It´s indeed remarkable how these overseas trips coincide with the best travel season. I guess they´re fleeing the dreary European winters and trading them for a sunny getaway. Some of these trips sound more warrented than others. Like the Dutch Carribean trip = totally understandable. But I don´t really see what business Mathilde has in Bangladesh, or Victoria in Australia. Anne in NZ isn´t going to achieve anything specific either, although the two countries are at least connected through the Commonwealth. Letizia and Felipe´s trip to Angola was a state visit and thus true representation.

First of all, it's actually very exhausting to visit New Zealand for 4 days as she is doing, because getting there from London takes around 30 hours and the time difference is huge. Secondly, Princess Anne doesn't even like warm climates and prefers to spend her private holidays in Scotland.

Charles is the King of New Zealand, so yes, the BRF needs to visit New Zealand.

@Anon 12:27 What was mean about the comment? It was an obvious joke. Given a choice, we all make our trips when the weather is the most pleasant. Would you rather everyone have a miserable time?

My comment was lighthearted and not meant to offend anybody.
I thought it might put a smile on some reader’s faces but apparently some readers have interpreted it the wrong way. I’ll have to try harder next time in the hope that readers can see the lightheartedness of my comment/s. Maybe a warning notice stating that it is a joke could do the trick.

Wonderful to see The Princess Royal looks lovely in each photo, reminds me of how much work she does that goes un-noticed and yet she never complains, continues to do her job, looking as beautiful as ever. Thank you for showing some of her visit to a wonderful country.

For those who are wondering about royals visits to New Zealand: did you know the largest and most luxurious bunkers are built just right in New Zealand? Looks like they are on "real estate" shopping spree

  5. I see quite a few common features between Prs Anne and Victoria : dedicated, very much involved in their job ..., but limited interest in fashion and above all very little motivation toward their hair styling or make up.

Yes, both Princess Anne and Crown Princess Victoria are very hard working, dedicated to serving their country and always wear their hair in a bun ;)

It appears that some people can’t see a joke or a lighthearted comment when it hits them in the face. Sad.🥺

Floods, cyclone, earthquake, change of PM - all within a matter of weeks. I think they are busy and couldn´t care less about hosting a foreign royal right now.

She is NOT a foreign royal, Charles is New Zealand's head of state and she is there representing him.

  8. The Princess Royal looks fabulous, love the mustard colored coat combined with the Navy dress and collar, striking outfit. She looks to be wearing a Sapphire and diamond brooch, perfect placement.

You people do know the royals don't travel alone? They are a part of a big entourage with the foreign ministry, a private business delegation to promote increased business sector cooperation and so on. This is not just a vacation.

Thanks for featuring Princess Anne whose tremendous dedication and hard work is often overlooked by the media. She doesn’t take up the most fashionable causes or wear eye catching outfits but provides solid support to the main players. Like the cream jacket in the second and third photos.

I like Princess Anne, who loves Britain, serves, and is dignified. She reminds me of Queen Elizabeth. I would like to see more women like them. Thank you for featuring Princess Anne. The perfectly tailored court dress is a suitable tribute to the heroes. I think universal beauty is much more appreciated in such places.

Princess Anne, is not known for her fashion statements, i find these three pieces, conservative and stubble for her personality and dare to say, even nice looking, so this is a plus for this hard working royal

That wry smile in the first picture is rather baffling. What is prompting her to take that attitude?
