On February 8, 2023, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and Crown Princess Amalia of The Netherlands arrived in Sint Eustatius as part of their 2-week visit to the Dutch Caribbean Islands. Upon arrival, the Dutch royal family was welcomed by Government Commissioner Alida Francis and met the island’s authorities.

During a walk through Oranjestad’s historical centre, the royal family met a number of locals and spoke with them about their life on the island. After the walk, the King, Queen and Princess attended a debate with young people about their future on the island. The visit to St Eustatius ended with an event at Fort Oranje that was about the island’s cultural heritage.

am tired of her style, its the same of the same. she seems so self aware, she just wants to cover her whole body with trousers, maxi dresses, long sleeveless. Maxima's style is far more interesting

  2. Q. Maxima's dress is gorgeous, very appropriate. Amalia continues to impress. She looks great, love the blue blouse and white pants, lovely combination.

Amelia is very aware of her size; I don’t think this (too long) trip helped her self confidence at all. She needs more time to gain confidence and not what others think of her.

A very busy schedule for the hard working Dutch Royal Family. Lots of outfit changes for various events . For this trip, the ladies very diplomatically chose bright colors, jewelry and accessories that were a nod to the countries they visited. Obviously some hot weather to contend with, but hairstyles held up relatively well.

    1. I agree with your comments Virginia. Maxima and Amalia have been faced with a great challenge to step out each morning looking like top models ready to walk down a catwalk. .
Plus some days have included a change of ensembles for an afternoon and/or evening event. They have done it under conditions they are not used to (heat etc.)
O.K. some of their choices may not have been to everyone's liking but to me they have done a great job, put lots of smiles on the local’s faces and given a good image to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Bravo.

The outfits of the ladies are lovely. CP Amalia looks good in this blue top. Mayby she should try also a top in "electric blue"/"cobalt blue". These plain colors suits her better than the little flower dresses which are out of fashion.Just saw a video of them where they danced in these outfits with the people of St. Eustatius. Some have criticism about the way Queen Maxima always start to dance immediately when she hears the music. I think she dances terrific and of course she is a Latina.

As suspected, Amalia looks really good in solid colours and less frilly cuts. I like this outfit. It's not perfect and I hope she grows more into her own style as time goes on, but as someone who is very aware of my size and body myself, I can totally see where she's coming from and that these outfits are comfort rather than fashion. Maxima looks fantastic - the yellow is great and cheerful, I'm just going to pretend I never saw the hat!

Queen Maxima’s lovely yellow dress is another success. She’s scarcely put a foot wrong fashion wise on this tour. Princess Amalia looks good in this bright blue blouse as she did in the red and green ones previously. Definitely an improvement on the fussy prints

I agree. Maxima's wardrobe over two, long, weeks of Caribbean events and travel has been wonderful and spot-on. It's not easy living out of a suitcase for that long, not knowing exactly what each day will bring. It's not the same as being in Europe. The climate, environment and culture in different parts of the world dictate different fashion rules and protocols. When the spotlight is on you, there is no where to hide, and she got it right every time as far as I'm concerned.

What about the health of King Willem-Alexander? He looks so confused, disorientated. May GOD bless him!

  16. I'm Latina and never break into dancing when I hear music lol. She is just a big show off. Her dress looks good, but Amalia is wearing her uniform of big tops and pants. She needs a little of her mother's over confidence, but so far she's only inherited her love of big jewelry.

Dancing is a joy of being. Give it a try, you might be surprised. Might even make it less likely to judge others.
