Queen Maxima wore a new beige knitted long sleeves jersey dress by Natan, and a beige cape by Natan

On February 14, Queen Maxima visited the Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht. On 5 June 2023, it will be exactly five years since the inauguration of the research hospital by Queen Maxima. Since then, all children with cancer in the Netherlands have been treated in this center. During her visit, Queen Maxima spoke with pediatric oncologists, researchers, data experts and pediatric oncology nurses.

Maxima is beautifully dressed, I only think her eyes are too dark with makeup

  2. Effortless looking outfit of Queen Máxima. No over-the-top-look. The camel colour flatters her. Her hair looks also simply styled and fresh.

  4. Woo hoo! Queen Maxima back on home turf with typical monochrome look and typical hair. The sunshine days of great outfits and fab hair have been left in the Caribbean. Actually quite like this outfit, just a bit too beige overall. One thing that neve changes is this lady's great simile and evident enthusiasm. It brightens my days to see her at work

I like it. The boots aren’t awful but would prefer a shoe. Although probably feeling the cold after the Caribbean km

    1. Many royal ladies and others as well, like to wear boots with a dress or skirt (so do I), that has become a trend. Maybe because of the comfort and it provides a more casual look. I see no reason for the often mentioned comment regreting to see less shoes.

I do like the overall look of the outfit, especially the contrasting cream lining of the cape. I also like that the colours were kept monochromatic for this light beige, or cafe au lait. However I'm surprised that jersey creases so much.
    A wonderful cause and visit.

  7. I'm surprised to see Queen Maxima out and about so soon after returning home from their long tour. She looks very nice here, and I love her interaction with the children. The little red-haired girl is adorable.

She is a hard working woman, so I am not surprised at all. Siv

I'm usually not a fan of head-to-toe beige, but Maxima makes it work somehow. The coat is pretty cool with the two-tone feature and the jewellery is nicely chosen. I particularly love that she's not shying away from nail polish - the dark red ties it all nicely together - as does her megawatt smile!

  10. What a marvellous visit by Queen Maxima. Her jersey dress, cape and boots look perfect for this visit. This is a fashion blog, but for me on this visit its secondary. Its so sad and heartbreaking to see the children and young people, so sick with such serious illness. This center is marvellous, such a wonderful service and research center. The Queen brought laughter, joy and happiness on this visit like no other, her vivaciousness and caring is just what the patients and staff need on such a visit, she had a huge smile the moment she walked through the door. She is very inspirational, she is doing a splendid job, I admire her very much. Well done Queen Maxima, well done. x

What can I add to another of your concise and effective comments, Ava?
Yes, indeed an immaculate appearance from Queen Maxima (I can hardly believe it is a Natan outfit!) but absolutely secondary given the importance of the little patients involved in this visit.
Poignant, but Maxima knows how to bring a bit of light albeit it is something passing through in so many families' despair.
I still force me to believe in science progress, there are great steps forward in research almost on a daily basis and hope to save so many lives mustn' t be lost.
Splendid initiative and support from the Queen.

    2. P. the original. Aw, thank you. Yes, lovely words I agree with you. I also hope that science and research can make inroads in looking towards better treatments and cures. Seeing the patients so young, is very sad.

Awwww. The third to the last photo...that look the little girl is giving the Queen. She's not buying whatever Maxima is saying lol.

Pull the hair back in a low soft ponytail, or anything, just stop wearing it stringy, makes such an unpleasant look for a woman with a lot of $$ resources to do her hair.

I also think her positive energy and cheerfulness will be of real value on such an occasion. She doesn't need much fashion excess. I think she is a shining person in her own right.

Enthusiastic, cheerful, charismatic, hardworking...in my opinion the best of the queen consorts

Wonder where the daily photos of the trip that the Princess Royal, Anne and her husband are currently involved with in New Zealand, and the daily photos of the Countess of Wessex when she recently did an overseas journey/trip. I'd rather see some of those photos, than the countless ones of the Dutch or Monaco people. If you post of one country over another, and leave out some royals, it's really not a fair representation of all of the royal houses.

By all means ... don't make it a competition of whose picture we see most on this blog or who's the royal with most obligations. Our author depends on what pictures are being offered and whether or not they're affordable. I honestly don't believe she purposely leaves out pictures of some royals!

I do not think this blog would purposely leave out another royal intentionally. The more content she posts, the better the chance of having more comments or followers which produces revenue!
