On January 19, 2023, Queen Maxima arrived in Davos to attend the Annual Meeting 2023 of World Economic Forum (WEF), held under the theme "Cooperation in a Fragmented World". As UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, the Queen attended an event titled "Financial Inclusion Beyond Access" held at Aspen Congress Centre. Queen Maxima previously attended the WEF Annual Meeting in May 2022.

WEF is not complete without Queen Maxima's vivid & bold fashionable looks. She definitely has a distinctive personal style among all reigning queen in the world. Lastly, I'm gonna take a minute to appreciate that she's on a good hair day.

ردحذفDid you check out the WEF forum session she spoke in? You can see that her clothes fit in very well, the boots are well-soled for the ice and snow just outside the door, and her mind and knowledge on financial inclusion are world class. As we critique the fashion, let’s always consider the context, because the choices make much better sense in context. Also everyone, let’s remember she and her family (and any other royal) may stumble across this blog and these comments, and we should never write what might hurt their feelings.
حذفWell said @Anon 17:47. Too often the event, the attendees, and the weather are not taken into account when these comments are made. Current styles fall far down the list as well. Consider the source of these comments and imagine how unrelatable they must make themselves on a regular basis. It's a pity, really.

I am in awe of the respect Maxima receives in the world of finance. To be appointed by the Secretary-General of the UN is a great accomplishment. Fashionably speaking, I'm still not a fan of the super wide and super long pants, but, if anyone can wear them successfully, Maxima can. I appreciate that she kept her makeup and jewelry understated for this event. She seems to be a free spirit filled with joy and self-confidence. Kudos to her.

ردحذفIf you follow Queen Maxima' s financial inclusion project it seems they are really doing something for the poor. I heard in an interview that she will contact people she previously met on a trip to check if their circumstances did did change for the better.

Queen Maxima looks good in this outfit and the color. It doesn't work for everyone, but she wears it well. More importantly, I am impressed by her intellect and education, which seems to translate into a huge win for the people of her country. She represents them well.
