I like the dress Q Camilla is wearing today. Both are color coordinated. A reminder that History can repeat itself. Hope this and future generations are more understanding and tolerant. So, this event is most important. We shall never forget. css

    1. Totally agree. This dress a beautiful variation of her usual style. Blue has been her favourite colour this season

First of all, I love how closely Charles and Camilla are colour coordinated. Truly the best "Royal" blue. Secondly, Camilla's dress and particularly the bodice is beautiful. I don't like her hair though. To me, the bangs look a bit....'horsey'. I prefer her with a parting and better still, a slight side parting.

I think the hair is her life’s style. Tabloids used to call her ‘Horsey’

Camilla is Queen Camilla now...like Queen Letiza, Queen Mathilda, Queen Maxima...and all the other wives of kings. Why are people so reluctant to recognize this?

You are right, she is now Queen Camilla.
But I am getting the feeling that she wants to be known as Queen Consort.
Originally she wanted to keep a title of Princess something or other
but the late Queen Elizabeth II, asked/ordered ?? that she be known as Queen.
From what I’ve seen recently with informal and formal information (Palice included) , she is being referred to as Queen Consort.
Note also that there is still an anti-Camilla following who would be happy to see her known as Mrs Camilla Parker Bowles.
Towards the end of 2022, her popularity rating was just over 40%

    2. I'd guess it needs a little more time to adjust. We shall wait until after the coronation. I am sure things will change then. Generally, you are right. She (Camilla) is in the same position as all the other wives of ruling monarchs, who are also, strictly speaking, Queen Consorts, but called Queens as a courtesy. In due time, this will certainly be the case with Queen Camilla as well.

    3. @DSC : But I am getting the feeling that she wants to be known a Queen Consort. Her popularity rating is still not 'super high'.
Example, Princess Anne 72%, Princess of Wales 68%, Camilla 45%.
Information from the Daily Mail on line, 13 January 2023.
You are right, maybe after the Coronation things will (might) change.

Anon 00 12. It may interest you to know that in the ‘prayers for the Royal family’ in the Church of England, we pray for ‘Camilla, our Queen Consort’ so this must be the preferred title.

    5. In the recent information from Buckingham Palace for the Coronation programme, Camailla is referred to, throughout this information, as Queen consort.

The dress is elegant in style and color but that heavy boots doesn't not suit to that outfit.

    1. I have the feeling 'flat boots' are automatically seen as heavy. I cannot agree on that; ladies of her age don't wear high heels, which would be seen as more elegant. That might be true but is unrespectful for the ladies who don't wear them.

  8. Tous les deux à l'unisson dans cette couleur bleue ; le corsage de sa robe apporte une petite touche originale ; j'aime bien quand elle porte les bijoux Van Cleef & Arpels surtout au niveau du bracelet !

  9. Agree with the positive comments for Camilla’s frock, very smart.
Nice to see the colour coordination between the King and Camilla (by chance or planned ?).
So we are back again to Camilla wearing boots indoors in a Royal Palace.
As @Ava commented above, “the boots don’t suit the outfit”.
There are 1.001 other possibilities to wear comfortable, but at the same time smart, fashionable indoor shoes
One of Camilla’s six “Queen’s Companions”, Jane von Westenholz, has good inroads into the fashion world via her daughter, Violet von Westenholz, who is a fashion publicist.
But as one of our bloggers said last year, “her boots aren’t going to go away without a good fight”.

    1. Yes indoor shoes would be good, but apparently not her favorites. Which fight are talking about ? I don't mind respecting her choices.

  10. I can give you many reasons for wearing those boots. Here are a few: (1)They don't have to be a tight fit for sore older feet and will not fall off your feet if you have to move around quite a distance (like very long corridoors at he palace). (2)They hide support hose admirably. (3)Slightly high heeled boots with long trousers mostly covering them are very elegant and can disguise your well supported feet somewhat for dancing in. Again they will not fall off your feet, feel solid and protect you somewhat if someone else in their spike heeled stiletto's manage to step on your toes. As a slightly older " elderly" person than Queen Camilla I speak with much expierience in the disguise of old tired feet.

I don't understand some of your reasonings. There are a lot I mean a lot of different kind of shoes which are elegant and very comfortable. According to many of you there are only boots or stilettos .
