On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden attended a memorial ceremony that took place at Eric Ericsonhallen in Stockholm (Skeppsholmen Church). International Holocaust Remembrance Day is marked on January 27 and commemorates the tragedy of the Holocaust that occurred during the World War II.

Question: Attending a Holocaust memorial ceremony, how can you grin in such a way?
ردحذفAre you saying that you wanted her to be sad and wear a forlorn look continuously for 2 or 3 hours? Have you tried doing that? Try it and let us know how you make out. I'm sure that she was appropriately solemn when the moments called for it, especially during the service itself which is the most important part of a memorial event. Your comment is narrow minded based on a handful of photos showing smiles as she is arriving, exiting a car, and being greeted by a representative hostess.

It’s common to smile when you great someone… and it’s a commemoration 78 years later in Stockholm, not a visit to a death camp in Poland.
حذفIt's all about context, isn't it? When getting out of the car, arriving at a venue to greet people, you usually give them a smile along with your greetings and handshake. Later, as you can see in the pictures, things got more solemn and Victoria's face clearly showed it. Don't make judgements taken totally out of context, please.

I really appreciate Victoria. She seems thoughtful in the engagements she does. But why, as the Holocausts goal was to exterminate Jews, is this memorial she is attending at a church? Not a synagogue? Christians have been killing Jews for millenia....Hitler wasn't the first, just the most successful.

It’s not a church anymore, it’s been desacralized, and is used for concerts or other “events”. The king and queen attended a ceremony in the Great synagogue of Stockholm the day before.

This look is ideal; feminine, flowing, very French colour combination and of course
