  2. What can one say, fashion is surely not the most important thing on a day like this. I like the photo of Camilla and Catherine smiling at each other.

  3. The ladies of the BRF on the balconies are beautifully and elegantly attired for this most solemn of occasions--really love everything they have chosen to wear. The Princess Royal is so amazing--she looks so regal in her uniform. I especially love the photo of the Queen Consort and Princess Wales exchanging smiles--you can see the warmth of their relationship.

  4. On such a somber occasion, everyone did a fantastic job. The outfits are all wonderful. I do think Catherine got a little heavy handed at her eyeliner in her lower lids, but that is just being nitpicking.

    1. It's just a thought, but the eyeliner may be heavier deliberately because the brim of her hat casts a shadow over her eyes.

  6. Kate really looks like in her 50s, no much difference compared to Sophie. Not aging well.

This appears to be our "stirrer" back again.
Looks like she's got a new nickname.
But she doesn’t need a nickname as she is identifiable by the comments she makes.

  7. Dear Chel, I totally agree with you, Catherine’s eye make-up is far too heavy and gives her a mask-like appearance, which I think is a pity and quite unnecessary.

  8. Great coat of the Princess of Wales, but the shape of the hat pulls her face down and her facial expression almost competes with that of our ex-chancellor Merkel. But it fits the occasion of the ceremony - looking sad in the most natural way. Frieda

  10. Great look for all the RL. I must say the British RF is top notch when honoring the fallen Soldiers of any war. Sir Tim Laurence said something at one point of the Ceremony. When you go home tell them of us and say
For your tomorrow, We gave our today. Thank you for your Service and your sacrifice for God and the Nation. css

  11. The Princess of Wales looks splendid, I love her coatdress and unusual neckline. Her hat looks beautiful, this type suits her so well. The diamond and pearl drop earrings are gorgeous. Lovely to see her wearing a brooch. Queen Consort looks great, her coatdress looks very elegant. Countess Sophie looks very elegant and beautifully groomed. Love her coatdress, the single strand of pearls and dainty diamond and pearl drop earrings are the perfect addition, finishing touch.

    1. Agree with you on every point. Think this is one of the best black coats that the Princess of Wales has worn. As well as the three ladies you mention, Ava, the Duchess of Gloucester wears her usual smart and unobtrusive outfit. They all look great.

  12. I respectfully disagree with the comment that the Princess of Wales is aging fast, I think she looks fabulous, even better than last year since the forehead wrinkles are now less prominent. Her outfit is exquisite, elegant, sober and so chic. All of them look very good actually.

  13. Is Queen Camilla wearing the broach of the Royal Marines or another branch of the service of which she is patron?

  14. Sophie and Camilla looked lovely. Sophie’s especially looked beautiful. The coat dress sitting just on her knee. Nicely shaped. I hope she keeps with this style. It’s far more flattering than the too long and too big items she’s worn of late.
Catherine hat, sitting so low, shades her face, emphasising any shadows or dark areas. I like that she tried something new, but for me it was a miss.
The gentleman and the Princess Royal looked superb in their respective uniforms.

  15. All the ladies are beautiful, but Prince William wins for me today. He's a really beautiful man- very masculine, sexy and looks amazing in profile.

  16. Sophie looks most polished in my opinion. Also I quite like the fact that she is re-wearing a coat (an exquisite one) from so many years ago.

Catherine’s hat isn’t her best choice, she does look aged beyond her normal. Was the second brooch really necessary? I don’t see how that relates to the event.

Camilla looks ok, I am not a fan of her hat choice either.

    Least we forget.

All the royal ladies look so beautiful, polished and classy.
Princess Kate's coat and hat are fabulous in their subtle simplicity and her makeup is perflectly executed.
I respect and esteem Princess Anne.
She honors the uniform she wears not only on this particular occasion.
    Prince William looks handsome too.
    A poignant ceremony.

  18. Everybody looks great and appropriate here. I think Sophie's my personal winner. This style of hat, the neckline and the tailored coatdress suit her incredibly well. I also like the little pearl tribute to the late Queen. Camilla's hat is stunning, but her coat a tiny bit boring - not that fashion matters much on that day, so this isn't really criticism, just an observation. And while Catherine looks impeccable and that coat is basically a work of art, I think the high neckline and the big hat are a bit too much - one can hardly see her face, which is a shame.
