On November 5, The Princess of Wales attended the Rugby Football League World Cup 2021 Quarter Final match between England vs Papua New Guinea at the DW Stadium in Wigan. The Princess attended her first game since succeeding the Duke of Sussex as patron of RFL. The late Queen Elizabeth gave the Princess of Wales the patronages of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union in February.

Before the game, the princess spoke to representatives from groups who have played a part in the tournament’s social impact programme, which was set up to provide a positive impact to the host towns and cities. The princess also met members of the England Women's Rugby League team during halftime, following their match against Canada.

Ah, I have a soft spot for everything red and the Princess of Wales' outfit is no exception. Smashing from head to toe and great for the occasion - you can definitely see her from afar, even in the middle of a sports stadium. If it has to be monochrome, I much prefer this to the beige ensemble she wore the other day.

Il rosso è sempre fantastico, ma sono outfit belli entrambi anche se preferisco il cappotto beige perchè più morbido e ampio.

Think this may be a re-wear? The Princess of Wales (it’s so hard not to say ‘the Duchess’) always looks good in red. Vast improvement on the dreary beige from earlier in the week. AnnieM

  3. I love the color combination, wine and red, wonderful. The coat is beautiful, nice to see it repeated, it fits perfect, love the style. The boots look divine. Love the pearl earrings.

  6. J'ai grand plaisir à retrouver Kate dans la couleur rouge ; j'adore la coupe de son manteau même s'il est légèrement trop long comme d'ailleurs ses cheveux qui auraient besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement !!

Nothing like a beautiful red coat to lift the gloom of November weather. Great choice! Ladyofthemanor

Lovely coat, perfect fit, but much too long. I don't understand why she keeps wearing her coats and dresses ankle length, she is a young woman and has beautiful legs, and she is not the only royal doing so. I am getting tired of this trend.

I just read a discussion about this elsewhere. You are not the only one that can't understand her choices. I agree with you, BTW.
