  3. Princess Takamoda is my favorite of the Japanese princesses. She is always flamboyant. Her crisp white jacket, royal blue pants and blue accessories are gorgeous. And, her colored nails are a light-hearted touch.

  4. A beautiful and well tailored ensemble put together with a quintessential colour combination.
Princess Takamado is able to, in a very dignified way, marry Japanese and western fashion.
She has succeeded in keeping one foot in the Imperial Family and one foot in a modern international life.
She is 70 years of age, a widower since 2002 and has 3 children.
Since the death of her husband, she has lived a very active, international life.
Always impeccably dressed for her public appearances.
As @Tulipe33 said, “it would be nice to see her more often.

  5. She is such a vivacious woman! It’s no wonder she represents the country at many international events. I like her outfit well enough, but wish that she’d worn a printed blouse instead. I find the blue and white a rather harsh combination. Her nails are a great touch though. (V.M.)

  8. As conservative as the Japanese royals are, Takamado is able to wear those amazing blue nails! I love them! What fun she must be! Why oh why can't Kate wear something other than the palest of pink-nude?
