  2. Love the way they always match his tie with her suits.

  4. Empress always looks classy in a suit with trousers. Her style is more modern than other members of the imperial household. Perhaps nobody dare her what to wear

  5. I love to see Masako now in a suit with trousers instead of those kind of wide pencil skirts. However she did not have the best taylor now, cause normally her clothing looks in every way impeccable

  8. This is a beautiful Lilac pantsuit. The color is soft and gorgeous. I prefer this style of pants as opposed to the wide leg version. I love the style and length of the jacket. The matching clutch with white stripe and shoes look lovely. Very elegant and stylish.

  9. The empress is looking great. This blue is nice colour for her. She is also wearing very nice shoes in the first pictures, and a more modern pearl necklace than usual.

  10. It's difficult to say exactly but I think this outfit looks a lot more modern than what the Empress normally wears. She looks really good here.

    1. Exactly what I thought - the whole outfit looks somehow more modern than what we often see on the Empress and I like it very much. The blue suits her well and I love the little colour coordination with her husband.

  11. What a lovely shady of powder blue. I like velvet/satin trim on the collar.
I’m much preferring the royal ladies wearing trouser suits. There’s something quite empowering in putting on a beautiful tailored trouser suit. HM looks sublime in hers.

  13. Wow - Empress Masako looks, chic, modern and 'très elegante' in this beautiful outfit. There is a classic silhouette hidden beneath the usual Imperial 'uniform' she and other Japanese royals are obligated to wear. I hope we get to see more break-out styles like this one. There is hope...and it's exciting to anticipate. She looks wonderful and I love his matching tie. So harmonious.
