  3. The coat dress and colour is lovely on the QC but for me, it's the hat that's the star here. Superbly elegant, love the shape of the topper, and I like the optical illusion created by the white band and see-through straw brim in the first photo. Very nice!

  4. QCC seems to have aged ... she looks tired. Obviously one can only ascribe this to the extremely roller coaster stressful, mournful events experienced by herself and family in recent weeks. Hopefully an overall body and soul healthy treatment together with some form of pampered rest will do the job. May QEII's memory be a lovely blessing for always.

I believe the Queen Consort will always be remembered for her signature hats. Many of them, including this one, are quite lovely and she wears large hats well. However, I think her whole outfit would look better had she worn nude stockings, versus the black tights.

    1. Exactly my thoughts, especially about the dark tights.

  6. The dark tights ruin the outfit.

  7. This is a very stylish and elegant outfit, I love the Navy color. The outfits suits the Queen Consort beautifully. The addition of pearl choker and earrings are the perfect finishing touch.

    1. As @Nika commented on the ensemble of Camilla on the 15 October in NewMyRoyals,
“Queen Camilla has definitely found her uniform and sticks to it, just like Queen Elizabeth used to”.
I agree. I think we are going to see, with variations, more of this style of coat dress.
Nice to see her wearing town shoes and not country boots.
Has she been reading our remarks on this blog? :-))

  8. Elle porte toujours avec élégance ce genre de chapeau en harmonisant ses couleurs avec le manteau et la robe dans laquelle je trouve qu'elle a minci !

  9. The navy blue and white dress is very pretty and flattering. The hat is beautiful, and perfectly complements the dress. I believe the black tights effectively elongate the Queen's body line and was a good choice. The pearl necklace with diamond clasp is gorgeous.

  10. I love her look, and have so changed my mind about her in the last 20 years, truly wish her all the best.
I like her style, as long the boots stay away for as long as possible. But who knows maybe her legs are not looking well, hence the choice for dark thighs/boots.

-Dorothe-

  13. Why not Queen Camilla without the consort like queens Maxima, Letiza, Mathilda, Sonya, and others? Just asking.

    1. There are going to be people who need time (for some, a lot) to adjust to the idea of someone else being called *queen* after Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Consort, which is accurate, is easier to accept. There are still others that will always be reminded of the, ah, shall we say *scandal* that lead to her current position. While she has grown on many people over time through her dedication and hard work, there will always be people that will see her as the "other woman". There will always be the idea of what could have been if only all parties had stayed in his or her own lane, that idea of a Queen Diana. It has been a much easier transition for Catherine to become the new Princess of Wales than it would have been for Camilla to be addressed as the Princess of Wales. That would not have gone over well. The same will be true for Catherine when she becomes queen consort. Calling her Queen Catherine will come easily because there is no scandal connected to her and there will be a long period of time since Queen Elizabeth's passing. I suspect Camilla has been prepared for all of these reactions and she has handled them with great understanding.

  14. If you look at photo N°5, it looks like her tights are slipping down. It appears her tights are showing wrinkles around her ankles. Or it could just be the light and angle of the photo.
On other sites (and this site also) bloggers have mentioned that she looks tired. I agree.
Next year she’ll only have 4 and a bit years to go before she has her 80th birthday.
I wish her good health and strength for her new role.

  15. Yes, Queen Camilla looks tired and has aged, however, she has, in my opinion always looked older than she is, not only now. I understand that she likes the sun and smokes, perhaps there is another factor, all of which accelerates this process.
