  1. Maxima is looking great! Really good outfit, nice colour. Jewellery a bit over the top for me, but it fits her well. Hairstyle is sleek and nice. You can see this is a subject that's close to her heart, she speaks with a lot of passion. Go Maxima!

  2. I took just one look and thought his is so aweful it has to be a Natan. The only thing nice about it is the colour and that does not even suit her just washes her out.

    1. There are other designers than Natan who have made about the same. I think it suits Queen Maxima very well. She looks engaged and happy and she looks certainly not boring like many other royal ladies.

  3. This outfit is perfect on the model, less on Qn Maxima... (As for Pr Stéphanie... my comment under that heading). In this case a higher neck would be an asset. The grimace on pic1 does not help.

    1. It is not a grimace. She is concentration on what other speakers have to say about the subject.

    2. That doesn't mean it isn't a grimace.

  4. Maxima looks nice in that pink shade outfit with beautiful earrings and necklace but she should have different kind of shoes to that outfit.

    1. Agree with you Ava. Although I can’t ever see the point of the half tucked in shirt idea, (like the coat over the shoulders thing) this looks okay. Would prefer standard court shoes. AnnieM

    2. Agree completely. The shoes are a not a good choice.

  5. Back to her own hair, which in this case isnot so bad, as the tunic like combi is kind of informal and suits her well.
The colour is a bit too much for the holidays for me, but otherwise: a good total look,

  7. Je suis ravie de revoir ses bijoux qui vont très bien avec la couleur saumonée de sa tenue ; à mon humble avis, la couleur blanche des chaussures serait parfaite !

  8. I love seeing Maxima at these events, you can tell she's really passionate about this topic. Not entirely sold on the outfit - I feel like the shade of pink should either be paler or stronger, definitely less salmon-y. I could absolutely see myself wearing the outfit, because it looks cozy and comfortable, but when photographed, it's a mixed bag. The photos inside look fine, but the one in daylight looks a bit like she forgot to tuck her shirt in, less like it's a design feature.

  9. Mi piace molto QM vestita così, le stanno bene i pantaloni larghi con bluse morbide.
Questo è lo stile che dovrebbe avere anche GD Stephanie.

  10. I love this outfit on Maxima. She looks smart and it is appropriate for the occasion - not too fussy, a little quirky and still stylish. The colour is beautiful on her too. The last of summer in the middle of Fall.

  11. The color of the outfit does not suit Maxima, and she is back to her own stringy hair. I guess she might have forgotten how well the hair looked in Sweden, or left it behind when she closed the suitcase. I really do not understand her lack of care in her appearance. All the OTT outfits, jewelry, shoes, etc, cannot take away the way a woman takes care of, (or not) of their head of hair. Annie

    1. Agree on all points, Annie! This is not a good color for her. The shoes are just bad. The bow and the heel...ugh and her hair is just unhealthy looking.

  13. She's stuck on Natan, why? My thoughts are it makes her standout for good or mostly bad.

  14. Looks like Queen Maxima has taken the decision to stay away from a business style suit and wear something 100% feminin. And I think it works.
She wore the same suit in June of 2021 but it was topped off by a bold “Maxima” style hat.
The meeting in Washington is one day after her 3 day visit to Sweden. She appears to be coping well with jetlag.
The Queen seems to be in full form and enjoying her work.
She represents the Netherlands with her participation in many international conferences related to sundry financial and money subjects.
    Bravo chère Maxima.

    1. Queen Maxima never “ represents the Netherlands”: the monarchy is just ceremonial in Holland.
She gets, being Queen of the Netherlands, easy access to functions in international organizations, which she seems to fulfill very well, and has without doubt an effect on the general knowledge of the Netherlands?

    3. @Mabel. Holland is just a province of the Netherlands. The monarchy concerns the rest of the Netherlands too : what about Limburg, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Groningen, etc....

  15. @Mabel, so the monarchs of the Netherlands don’t “ represent” their country? What country do they represent? In your intent of correcting other people, you seem to miss the mark. When the sovereigns of any country attend an event it’s understood that they are doing it so in accordance with the current government and not as their own agenda.

    1. Maxima is not the sovereign, that is the King, she actually is a princess but may use the title if Queen and your majesty.
She represents the Netherlands when she is invited as Queen.
She has among others, a function in the UN on personal title.
The Netherlands are very proud of that and that she is doing well, and , as I wrote, of course it has side effects for the country as well.

    3. Difficult to discuss this subject; they represent their country but are however not the official voice on political subjects. Not sure about the NLs but I guess she is speaking as an expert in her individual name but not as the official representative of the country. Dutch monarchy has a ceremonial role indeed, as most others.

    4. Maxima is a Princess but she may use the title of Queen, @Mabel 11:02?

  17. As queen, of course she represents her country.
As a special UN advocate she represents the UN.
In this instance, the latter is the case, although of course, she uses the platform, the media reach and her elevated status as queen to promote UN goals, for better and for worse. In other words, she wouldn´t have become a UN advocate if it hadn´t been for her status and her position of power, which, in my view, is far more than just ceremonial. Royals, by means of their status alone, have a lot of "heft" and therefore "say" in their respective countries, so that making them an advocate for a cause instantly legitimizes said cause.
