  1. Belle allure chez Margrethe ainsi que chez la dame vêtue d'une robe bleu sarcelle qui s'associe bien à sa blondeur !

    1. Agree. Spot on choice of ensemble by Queen Margrethe for this gala event.
Agree what you say about the blond lady in the blue gown.
She almost outshines the Queen. Who is this lady?
Off topic - Unfortunately, Queen Margrethe is getting a lot of negative press regarding the decision she has made about titles in the Danish Royal Court.
A strong tide of shock and disagreement about her decision which is, unfortunately, taking the shine off the celebration of her 50th anniversary as Queen. Bad timing?
If you’re not up to date with the subject, just tap into Google ……. “Queen Margrethe titles” and you'll get a good choice of information you can choose from. .

@Deadeggs, spare me the gossip, please. The Danish press is mostly d'accord with her Majesty decision.Siv!

Interesting that you say that, Siv. It seems to me to be an unkind and inconsiderate action to her grandchildren and has really lowered my view of her.

I'm sorry, but what is the gossip. It is widely reported with statements from Joachim, Mary and Margrethe. What have I missed?

I, too, like both of these dresses. They are very flattering.

  2. I usually love Queen Margrethe's black or navy lace blouses and dresses but this ones sleeves just do not seem to go with it. maybe just a slight bell shaped bottom to the sleeves would look better. Otherwise the whole combination is really very elegant.

Queen, well the skirt kind of looks like the line should be on the side.

Can you explain what you are trying to say? Are you calling her a sow for wearing black and blue together?

She is elegant...and queen...if she decides to make the monarchy smaller...so be it

Something looks off in her outfit combination. I agree that the front seam looks weird (but cannot imagine she put the skirt on the wrong way.. 🙂). The sleeves of her lace blouse appear undecided what they want to be (fitted? fluted? a bit of everything?).

The lady accompanying the queen is very elegant indeed (almost glamorous!). It’s a well cut dress and she wears it very well!

    1. Yes, but can anyone tell us who this lady is?
The man sitting between the Queen and this lady in photo N°1 is Jesper Petersen, the Minister of Higher Education and Science in the Danish Parliament. Could it be his wife?

I think the lady in blue is the president of the Royal Academy Marie-Louise Nosch - the host of the evening.
