The news stated offical mourning ended yesterday. The royals no longer need to wear only black.

    5. Mourn is officially over, however I think there could have been a soft transition period with softer colors.

Je suis d'accord avec vous ; une couleur demi-deuil -comme du parme par exemple- aurait été parfaite pour s'associer avec le noir !

After this exhausting week they need time out. Though they just follow the Queen's examble duty first.

  4. The red coat with the black outfit is stunning, and the Princess seems to glow with delight when the children present her with flowers. The children are adorable and it obviously touched her heart. As always, Catherine's smile is very lovely. William looks quite handsome in his blue suit, and seems happy to be back in Wales.

I love catherine's coat I am a big fan of coats. The colour is gorgeous & the gold buttons fit well reminds me of the zara jacket she wore to copenhagen earlier this year. Appears this could be a new coat for the princess overall as usual Catherine looks great. Mary

How wonderful the new Prince and Princess of Wales look today! I love that the Princess wore a red coat as a nod to the Welsh colors--and she looks beautiful. She is so natural with the 2 little children--and its obvious she is enjoying being with them. Prince William is looking relaxed and appears very happy--I think the new role he ha moved in to really suits him. They are a great couple and will do Wales and King Charles proud.

Red and black always look good together. This coat is very lovely. Clean lines, vibrant color, interesting details on the pockets. Perfect for her.
They seem to have very good connection with people, especially chidlren. They've grown into their roles so well. It is pleasure to watch them in action.

The little girl in the Welsh costume stole the show. Kate would have looked nicer in a dress and coat; the trouser look a bit sloopy;an also ran.Prince William looks very smart and respectful;they do want to win the Welsh people over(Tara)

I wonder what does she want to say - red coat on the first day after the official mourning period. There are many colours more appropriate for people who has lost their love ones less than a month ago. - Siri

@Xx, not sure what your country’s customs are, but she is not from there obviously, criticizing people because they don’t follow other foreign countries customs is just ridiculous!! Mourning is matter of the heart not of any colors.I have no problem with the
color red, I do like this coat very much, she looks elegant as usual.

Xx, in my country one can even wear red in a funeral. It's not about the color, it's about remembering and thanking and celebrating one's life. Everyone can mourn in heart. Anneli

  17. This visit was briefly televised on Australian TV. Absolutely gorgeous when Prince William introduced himself to the boy, simply as 'William'.

Both William and Catherine look wonderful, the red coat helps lighten the somber mood of mourning the last number of days which lifts the spirits. Anne
