I love her style, but the polka dot style is too much lately.

Good that they are starting at the new school together; not easy as they would have had friends at the other school. For little ones there can be high anxiety levels; not everybody will want to be their friends. Kate looks nice; the colour of the dress is a little matronly; but I do like the style, and I like her earrings. Prince William looks smart; never too sure about suede shoes.(Tara)

Splendida famiglia, i piccoli sono adorabili. Mi piace il vestito a pois di Kate, le sta bene anche il colore, perfetto con le scarpe.
Che dire? Dove c’è amore c’è anche tanta “bellezza”.

I have to agree. My first thought was this looks like a Depression Era dress, just sad. The color maybe? Not her best color, especially with no belt to break it up.

Another polka dot dress in the same style as the other ones she has. Why always buy the same ? Does she have any inspiration left ?

How many polka dot dresses a girl need ? And the children dressed like in the 50-ees. I prefer how the children are going to school in Europe in jeans and colorful T-shirts and/or sweatshirts/hoodies and trainers (white or in bright colors adapted to their outfit). They are children not museum pieces.

Do you not understand that Lambrook has a school uniform? The children are dressed perfectly properly and won’t have to worry about silly fashion trends at school.

    2. The Cambridge children are all three dressed according to the requirements of this particular school. And many schools in Europe are demanding a school uniform, too. It's not all free choice of clothing. The school (St. Thomas Battersea, London) where George and Charlotte went to before had a school uniform policy as well. It's still standard in the UK.

    3. You call her a "girl"?

      Delete
    4. Anonymous8/9/22 15:02

      It's the school uniform.
And as a "free dress code" European school kid, I can assure you that having a uniform is much better.
The bullying derived from a simple "colorful t-shirts" is enormous. With a uniform, there are no rich or poor, there are no people with or without style. There are only students.

Did you really not realize that Cambigde children are dressed in school uniform?? So, first find out the facts and then criticize.

The other children from this school also had the same uniform. I know that some schools, especially in Britain and the USA, require children to wear school uniforms (although here in Central Europe it is not customary).
Kate suits this style, although her polka dot outfit (black and white) at the memorial service for Prince Philip was better.

Yes I realize it. I said I prefer the schools in (Western) Europe (in my town and other towns in my country) where the children can wear their own clothes like, jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, etc... The customs are not the same in every country. Talking about criticism you misspelled "Cambridge".

@Coralie Using 'girl' in that way is a colloquialism. It is fairly common to use 'girl' in very casual settings. It is not derogatory.

    12. I fully agree with Anon 15:02. Many parents are in favor of a uniform, which simplifies the dressing of children.

  12. Strange comments. In GB schools like this one have their own uniform and dress code. As for polka dot print, it suits her and she might just like it. No comparisons, but I do have at least a dozen in my wardrobe and love them.

  13. Strangely, I really like the polka dot dress. The kids' school uniforms are fine, I don't know what the complaint is here. What I'd like to know (and won't learn here, this being a fashion blog) is how the other parents were prepared for this - was there a security drill involving everybody? Were the parents forewarned?
Anyway, good luck to them and all the best for the coming school year to everybody here whom it concerns - parents, students, teachers. :-)

School uniforms are important, so all children are the same, no comparing clothes, shoes and style, specially with the e girls.. Kate's style is the same, a more relaxed style would be more comfortable fot the school run.. How much has George grown 😉

During 6 years I wore a uniform too when I went to school in Europe. I can assure you it was not pleasant at all. In the meantime all these schools (and I am talking about the better schools) do not ask their students to wear uniforms any more. The parents as well as the students were against it. The children of the royal family of my country didn't wear a school uniform, although they went to one of the best schools.

@Ava. A lot of bloggers on this site are not British. The thing is that the British think because it is in fashion in their country it is automatically in fashion in the rest of the world.

I'm thinking that it is because she has so many similar dresses. One could argue that Kate's dresses are a type of uniform for her. Rarely a surprise print or style. Some like her style, some don't.

@Anon15:41, Fashion is everywhere in the world the same whether it is London , Paris or Rome. Fashion designers are not creating their clothes only and absolutely for one country. So after all British people are right.

@anon 15.41 no, the British don't think that any more than other bloggers do. Fashion is a global industry - things really aren't that different. Plenty of non-British women buy and wear from the same brands as Catherine.
