On the last day of her visit to California and Texas, Dutch Queen Maxima visited Houston. There, the Queen was received by Mayor Sylvester Turner. Afterwards, the Queen took a short boat trip on the Buffalo Bayou waterway. The boat trip ended at the Cistern, a former underground reservoir in Buffalo Bayou Park. The Queen then visited MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she received information on innovative cancer treatments. Queen Máxima also visited the ward where children are treated.

Great dress on Q Maxima but what about that bird nest on her head. Not a fan.

Agree on the bird nest. She just should have skipped the head piece

Sorry, but I do not like this dress at all. Model is too complex and way too long. Makes Maxima, who is tall, so huge. Colour is wonderful. And what is that thing on her head. Awful.

@Anon 17:24, Agree with you about dress and whatever it is she wears on her head . When you are tall the dress shouldn't be too long because that makes you look even taller.

  9. Queen Maxima is a genuine "people person." I love the way she relates to everyone she meets, especially children. She is always quick to smile and laugh. I love her tangerine colored dress.

Beautiful in this orange dress. It is a repeat and maybe a bit too long. I like the way she embellished the waist band with a brooch.

Love this dress, color and fabric on point, original and perfect in fit and length. She looks statuesque, I would’ve left the hat home, but it’s Máxima :-)

Why is she wearing these hats in the US? She seems to be overdressed for several occasions here, but I do like the dress nonetheless.

I agree, she does seem to be overdressed here and generally. I've always felt that she has great potential but just misses the mark frequently. I wish she'd consult a good stylist.

Marie, I totally agree with you. The potential is there, and she comes so close often.

  14. Her dress, except for the colour, is a big miss IMO.
The designer at NATAN should go back to the drawing board or go back to school.

So many royal ladies seem attached to Natan clothes. The designs are very hit or miss for me—unpredictable whether they work well or not. Perhaps the design house is very discreet and makes them feel safe? They keep going back to it over the years. I do like the color of this dress.
