On September 1, 2022, Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the placing of the last memorial stones on Akershusstranda street in Oslo that took place in honor of the victims of Nazism during the Second World War.
Since 2010, Oslo Jewish Museum and artist Gunter Demnig have been placing memorial cobblestones in memory of Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Norway. A cobblestone with a brass memorial plaque is placed in the sidewalk at locations where Jews and other Nazi victims lived until they were deported and killed.

حذفThese stones are called Stolpersteine - stumble stones because you practically have to stumble over them to see them. There are more of 75.000 of them throughout Europe.
